   One thing and another I'm late with the morning post....found a table at 06:17....and what a table....very aggressive pre-flop betting....almost every hand a game of "my pair is bigger than yours'" and most hands an all-in after the river....my first thought was did I time warp back to yesterdays table....but after about ten minutes [+/-]....the storm broke and calm held sway....a minimum of pre-flop nonsense....after a couple of hands flopped a Queen high flush....what i didn't know at the time was the player to my right had also flopped a flush....and he was Ace high....but I was fortunate that the player on my left turned a straight....only 3 to a flush & 3 to the straight on the board....post-river....right goes all-in....about a total of 40K....I covered....left goes all-in....had me covered....the thought struck me "What in the name of Abigail Adams have you got yourself into" but I went all-in....a brief moment of pain when "right's" Ace high was revealed....but a moment of relief...when my Queen high was next....can only guess what "left" and his straight thought....ah me thunk....Texas Hold-um.....a few hands later....again with the storm...."any-to-carders"....post pushers....big pre-flop raises and all-ins after the river....thought I'll play through the blinds and then leave....but by the time I got to the button....the "storm" and abated and calm restored....but that was the pattern of the day....reminded me about being on Lake Ontario when you have periods of calm....a brief storm....calm....repeat....although as few as 4 players and as many as 7....basically a 5 or 6 player table....ergo....102 minutes played....82 hands played....a hand every 1.25 minutes....really enjoyed the slower pace of play....only won 9 pots....1 out of ever 9+ hands....mostly small/blind pots but two nice pots....the aforementioned flush and one on a "full house".....departed with an additional 34,385$ I hadn't brung with me....plus another 4,400$ from 5 winners out of 7 spins at the "Old One-armed Bandit].....[2 drops so far....one late last night and one waiting for me this morning both@42'K w/ads....and a recent spin on the roulette wheel for 189'K]

   Up and off to play some Poker [Super Happy Fun Time style].....found a table at 06:02....1000/500 blind table..../usual 125K max-buy-in....a table which fluctuated from 5 to 7 players....and a nest of "any two carders, pot pushers, and re-occurring, spats of "My pairs bigger than your pair".....no kamikaze....dive bombers....oy vey....now much as I prefer to see the flop for a call or a check of the big blind....you do catch pocket cards that basically require [for lack of a better word] for you to "make the call"....and I did have pocket pairs 3 times....once pocket Kings....and suited connectors a few times....and the odd pocket Ace....so took the plunge....never hit the flop....in any meaningful way....played 25 hands....never won a hand....and lost my pocket Kings to a rivered straight....ergo....24 minutes played....25 hands played....for all intents and purposes  a hand/minute....which is a cycle time I usually like....so I looked down at my stack....I'm down 63'K....which was exactly what I had just gained on a roulette spin before I "sat down".....and thought enough is more than enough....and left....but got the 16+ mission so the clock is running....
    I've been playing this particular Poker game for over a year....tried several others but this one IMNSHO was the closest to  the "real thing".....and was before the game went mobile.....but at best a "free" game can only simulate real poker....there's nothing to lose.....and the only thing you real spend is time....and being retired I have lots of that to spend....but the combination of no real risk....and the mobile player....or as I like to call the "hit and run" player....speaking of which....I wonder if there have every been a "fender bender" because someone was going all-in on a Poker table while his/her eyes should have been on the road....[end rant]....Last drop late last night and the one I just took were with ads. again....

   Logged on to Poker at 06:10....was "sitting" at the usual 1000/500 blind table....and the usual 125K max-buy-in....for 10 minutes before winning a decent pot....first had I got a chance to "see" a flop....the table was under attack by a strong raid of kamikaze & dive bombers....after that it settled down to the typical weekend table....1 hand 3 players...a few hands with 4 or 7 players....but the majority of the time a table of 5 or 6 players....and the usual collect of playing styles....an "any-two carder" here....a pot pusher there....a few rounds of "may pair is bigger than you pair"....a battle over who was "table captain".....and an occasional brief return by a kamikaze....but like I said....your typical weekend table....
   I've said many times it's not about getting the right hand....but getting it at the right time....won a couple of decent pots....but must times I'd end up with small pots....no action....spit to pots with a straight and a full house....rats....and got rivered a few times....lost trips a couple of times...for big pots....[pause while I run off to take a drop]....my problem today was catching a good hand at the worst possible time....anyways....&....ergo....85 minutes played....89 hands played ....57.3 sec/hand....about what you'd expect for a 5/6 table....8 winners....1 out of every 11+ hands....good grief....left 88.450 on the table....[no slots]....as I sometimes do I logged on late after "close of day".....and hit a roulette spin for 840'K....taken 2 drops this AM....one first thing and the other re: pause....both were 21'K....no ads in sight....????....

   05:58 on what promises at least until evening to be a stay warm and dry in my rooms kind of day so off to a 1000/500 blind table....the usual 125K max-buy-in....and I witness the genesis of a "Table Captain" in the beginning an "any to carder" a rough beginning but hit a few big pots and the next stage appeared....a pot pusher....a couple of big pots....and then the emergence of a full blown "Table Captain"....but with the weather such as it was/is....no place to be....so probably stayed longer then common sense would have dictate....for example....I won 1 out of every 12 hand played....and it wasn't that I was catching an average amount of decent pocket cards....I was....and I did hit the flop several times for 2 pair....and turned trips, and the occasional straight or flush....but the river....dang....now I was raised Baptist....but there you only get dunked in the "river" once....today was one of those days that "Old Man River" washed away several good hands and nice pots....if my luck was the tide today it was most certainly an ebb tide....there were some bright if rare and brief moments....I was forced all-in and my King high flush held up....and the memory of my flopped 3 Jacks that "turned" into quads....has almost faded into the ether....[pause....off to pickup a drop]....just one of those days....and after all is said and done it's not like I spent anything....but time....and I have a surplus of that....I'm retired....ergo....92 minutes played....121 hands played....a 3 to 6 player table but 4 or 5 players would be the average....45.6 sec/hand....left 110,300$ on the table....won 700$ with a dismal 1 for 7 spins on slots....only real bright spot other than the quads....with  the 2 drops so far this AM and the one I took last night after I had run day's end....3 drops@42'K w/ads....I'm back in the black for the day....

   With the weather such as it is for the next 36 hours or so....I guess I'll be pretty much stuck in my rooms....what to do....checked TV listings....nada....hey...wait....I've got a wild idea...."hows' bout" I play some online games....
   Took my "chair" at the usual haunt....1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....and the first thoughts about the table brought to mind the old quote by Yogi Berra "it's like deja vu all over again"...you've got it....another "Table Captain"....big stack on the table who made a pre-flop raise on all but a couple of hands for usually 8'K....that 2 sessions in a row....nuts!!!....I've mentioned before it's not about how many hands you catch it's about catching a hand  at the right time....I actually only played just a few hands...."ate" a bunch of blinds...."Old Cap" was on my immediate right....a 4/5 player table so unless he was in the big blind....he always acted before me pre-flop....actually only "played" maybe 4 or 5 hands....but managed to catch two pair and trip Jacks....flopped the 2 pair....Jack in the hole....another on the flop....and the third on the turn....and two smallish pots....but enough to cover my blinds....stayed past the appearance of the 16+ banner....already had seen the 10K+ banner....came to the conclusion that he wasn't going to quit....so I did....a short session....but mission[s] accomplished....ergo....13 minutes played....19 hands played [41 sec/hand]....2 winners [1 every 9.5 hands]....walked away with an extra 1,750$....may play again later....[late drop last night and first one this morning both 21'K s/ads.]

   Again with the usual start....a little on the early side...."sat down" at a 1000/500 blind table w/ my 125K max-buy-in at 05:31....a 4 or 5 player table w/ a few hands at 3....and my intro to the table was my old friend Anna Kounikova & a pre-flop 5'K raise from a player to my immediate right....but being first hand and my distrust for Ace/King....I called anyways [in the big blind].....turned a pair of King's and had my 10K mission right out of the gate....didn't take long for me to realize I was in the the hallowed presence  of a "Table Captain".....not every hand but almost every hand a pre-flop 5K or occasionally a 10K pre-flop....and he got peeps to play along....a few hands later....caught Anna again....this time a rivered King won the prize....2 pair....and another pair of Kings and a pair of Fives just for fun.....and later a turned flush....but most of the time I just was resigned to using the "check/fold" button.....it became obvious that he was't going to leave/quit with the 5K pre-flop nonsense....so I did....quit that is....ergo....21 minutes played....[a short trip but just was not in the mood to deal w/ a table captain this AM].....30 hands played[42 sec/hand]....33 hands played....a winner every 5.25 hands....left with an extra 3,925$ and both missions completed....[no slots].....[ first drop of the day @42'K w/ad....]

   Up and off for my traditional morning trip to a 1000/500 blind table....with the typical for me 125'K max-buy-in....and what I found was something that was very unexpected....1st hand....2 pair and a  blind pot....2nd hand....another 2 pair....a small pot....3rd hand a flush and a nice pot....board pair of Aces and a decent pot....won on a high kicker....a table of 4....occasionally 3 or 5....and a couple of "any to carders" at start....but if you're catching decent hand....and I was....not a bad table at all....but quickly the table mood changed and "now arriving"....a major league pot pusher....and a topper as well [user of the auto-top-off option]....a pre-flop raise of 3 to 5 times the big blind on every hand....but decided to stick it out....for several hands he got kicked around...but he finally caught a  big hand and had the high stack on the table....I came to the conclusion that he wasn't leaving any time soon so I did....except for the first four hands only won one more pot....a decent pot....flopped two pair and turned it into a full house....ergo....30 minutes played....33 hands played....[54.5 sec/hand....slow pace for a short table....but several occurrences of "my pair is bigger than your pair"]....5 winners [1 every 6.6 hands played....]....but escaped with an extra 7,700$ off the "table and an additional 1,100$  from a 2 for 7 go at the "one-armed-bandit".....[1st drop of the day @42'K w/ad.....]

   Logged on to Poker this AM at 06:10....as/usual a 1000/500 blind table....and the usual 125K max-buy-in....basically a 3 to 5 player table the entire time....but a very fluid table none the less....a couple of "any-two-carders"....no true kamikaze.....but several players with what I can only describe as a very erratic style of play....one hand a pre-flop call of the blinds or a fold....next hand a big raise....one player if after the river on what was up to that point a "blind pot"....would go all-in....and he had more than 100K in his stack....usually a nothing board....pretty dramatic move just to "steal" the blinds.......very few big hands [trips or better]....most hands were won with a pair or two pair....and most times the 2nd pair was a board pair....a few big pots....but mostly small or  blind pots.....Now on one hand I could say that I really wasn't catching....but than I only count trips or better as catching a good hand....by that standard I only caught 5 hands....but I won 20 pots....Although I haven't mentioned it lately I have very little respect for pocket Ace/King....in fact I call that hand Anna Kounikova [a tennis play who was a real looker....but rarely won]....so I'm looking down at Ace/King....got in for a check [big blind]....flop comes and an  Ace....a check....turn is a King....so now I have a pair of Ace/King....and that's how I thought of the hand....not two pair but a pair of Ace/King....so I raise 3.5'K....got 2 takers....checked on the river and a decent pot....but that's how the day went....really no "big pot" stories....just a good day at the "office"....ergo....60 minutes played....87 hands played [41.4 sec/hand].....20 winner [ a win every 4.35 hands].....left with an extra 100,480$....[no slots]....I have a drop about to drop....[pause]....first two drops of the day @21'K....no ads....

   "Up and at 'um" at 05:54 this morn....1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....and for the first 22 minutes a table from one of the lower depths of the abyss....a table of 4 or 5....but virtually a large raise form one player or another pre-flop and continuation bets post-flop....a quick click on there avatars....3 of the players with significant tournament play....ah....thought so....they tend to have a recognizable style of play....that table disappeared in a 3 or 4 hand brawl with the lone survivor leaving as well....won a blind pot on a pair....the new table had no constant character for a while...,an "any to carder" here....a pot pusher there....and one player I can only describe as a "reluctant kamikaze".....would bet 2/3 of his stack pre-flop....and than all-in after the flop....he did last long....and just before I left a major bout of "My pair is bigger than Your's"....but in those last 28 minutes I caught some nice hands....made a couple of nice pots....and even "chased" a hand....except for the blind pot....hadn't won a pot....I'm looking at an Ace/Nine suited....a small pre-flop raise from  our "any-two-carder" flop gave me 4 to the nut flush....continuation bet....turn....no help....but another continuation bet....and for a change and probably a little out of frustration....a call....and the river gave me a nut flush....another bet....and totally out of  character for me....I re-raised....got one call and a nice pot....one other hand....as some times happens the flop comes and there are board trips....three Nines....this time....now usually I would fold at this point....but on this occasion had pocket Jacks....turn and river didn't pair and in any case both cards were lower than a Jack....no big bet before me....if one had had the 4th Nine....but just a small raise....a re--rise....I called....the specter of thee 4th Nine....that didn't happen....the other two had a pocket Ace....another nice pot....but way too many blinds....ergo....50 minutes played....63 hands played[47.6 second hands]....7 winners....one every nine hands....but if you "throw" out the first 22 minutes....a decent average over the last 28 minutes....left with an extra 5,700$ from the table....and another 400$ from 2/5 on the slots....first free money was a  roulette spin for 147'K....

   Just another day at the salt mines....aka: a 1000/500 blind table....the usual 125K max-buy-in....very fluid table....at any given time the number of players varied from 3 to 7....and by-in-large a very good table IMNSHO....very little pre-flop  nonsense....a few all-ins but only in defense of a hand after the river....or from a short stack who had just taken a beating....the occasional "any-two-carder" but generally a good table....one problem....was 22 minutes into the session before I won a hand....just wasn't catching....would have won a hand but....pockets Six/Three unsuited....big blind....got in for a check....missed the flop....all higher cards than what I was holding....a reasonable bet from an "any-two-carder".....would need runner-runner....fold....turn: Six....river: Six....oy vey....at the 22 minute mark....on the button....no action from the  table....hit a runner....runner straight on the river....made a small raise....no takers....over the last 9 minutes I played won three more small/decent pots on a house, trips & 2 pair....but then a pot pusher arrived....and a kamikaze soon after....and I took my leave....31 minutes played....37 hands played [felt like a lot more but I have questioned the counter before]....50 seconds/hand[?]....left 6,275$ on the table but if that's the price for the 16+/10K+ missions today....then that's what it is....no slots....first drop....21'K s/ad....

   Just one of those days....sometimes you get the cards at the right time....and then on days like today you just flat don't....or worse....you get what you think are the right cards at the right time....but it's the worst possible time....and "Old Man River" does you wrong....
   Day started like most of my days....although I'm retired....my body/mind still think I've got to get up around 06:00 because I have to punch that clock....30+ years in a factory....so now the clock I "punch" is a 1000/500 blind table....and the time card is a "125'K max-buy-in"....very fluid table....as few as three and as many as seven players at any give time....a brief appearance by a couple of kamikaze....both were one and done....a few incidents of pre-flop pot pushing but most were  because the prep had pocket pairs or an Ace....most common irritant was an "any-two-carder"....who just had to raise pre-flop on almost every hand [2.5'x the big blind or less] and most times the same size continuation bet....caught him a few times but no big pots....my problem today was simple....when I caught a good hand there was no significant money [faux it may be] in the pot....and when there was significant money in the pot....I'd either have shmattah....or a decent hand which got "turned" or rivered"....lost the biggest chunk of my stake to a rivered better "house"....
    Ergo....33 minutes played....47 hands played [a hand every 42 sec.].....only 6 winners [one every 7.8 hands]....left 63,873$ on the table [dang river]....[no slots].....as I sometimes do took a drop late last night and the one this morning were both @42'K w/ads....so if there is any consolation the loss has been erased from the ledger....but it still hurts a little....[have changed my avatar again....fits my current mood better....posted in the footer]

   "Sat down" at a 1000/500 blind table and placed down my 125K max-buy-in....table of four....I was on the button....player to my right....a pre-flop raise of 25'K....quick fold from me....me thunk....pocket pair....he won the pot but on a rivered pair....????.....except for one hand....same dude raised a minimum of 5'K pre-flop....to a max raise of all-in....he got shown the "gate" a couple of times....re-appeared....[dang that "auto-re-buy"].....and repeated his previous "sins"....so the 16+ hands played banner came down....or rather in my case the 16+ hands not played....almost left tight then but decided to stick around and use up my 5 accumulated slots [3/5 & 5,700$ [hit I pull for 5'K]....left 9'K on the table at 15 minutes....and 20 "hands not played"....
   So I'm in the "lobby" claiming my 16+ "hands not played mission'....got the 2x clock engaged....and decided that I would like to actually play some poker....not just watch it....so off to another 1000/500 blind table....w/ another 125K buy-in....with hopes that I wouldn't end up back in the self same abyss a I had just left....a decent table....3 to 5 players....and only an occasional pre-flop nonsense....and when it did happen the player had a pocket pair or an Ace....won some pots....all small/blind pots....but at least won some pots....decent pockets several times....even hit a few flops....but never hit a hand when there was a big pot on the table....41 minutes played....57 hands played[a hand every 43 seconds]....but just failed to catch a good hand at the right time....left 23,935 on the table but did get the 10K+ mission....but with my luck of late, or rather lack of....there of....luck of late the chip most likely will not do me any good....first roulette of the day 147'K....but at least it was top value on the bottom row....first drop of the day 42'K w/ad....

   1000/500 blind table and the usual 125K max-buy-in....hard to describe the table....very fluid in number of players....as few as three and as many as seven....and changing constantly....also style of play was also in flux....never a "true kamikaze" but multiple all-ins at some point after the flop....first what I can only assume was an "end of session death match" lasted for a few hands....and the "lone survivor"....then departed....to be replaced by an "any-two-carder".....who was driven out by a wave of players with tournament experience....pot builders....and than for a brief time....my kind of poker....small ball....and only the occasional pre-flop nonsense....I re-learned a lesson this morning....I've been complaining about not catching hands of late.....but it's not how many hands you catch....but catching them at the right time....played 45 minutes....played 55 hands [49 sec/hand]....and won only 7 pots the entire time [a winner every 11.7 hands][okay I'm a stats nerd]....but still managed to be up for the day....[12,929$]....not a whole lot I grant you....but really played some solid poker....my way....definitely not flashy....I'm a game player....not a gambler....[no slots....not that I would have had time for slots if I had had spins which I didn't].....

   Off to another day of online gaming....as/usual 1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....a "short" table of 3 to 5 players....very briefly 6 players....but for the most part 3 or 4.....and except for nary a sight of a kamikaze....there were a bunch of all-ins....at any point post-flop....and the usual perps made an appearance.....pot-pushing...."any-two-carders"....and 1 player...or should I say 2 players....came to the table 2 times w/125K....left twice w/butkis....if not after the flop....then after the turn or river....he was all-in....I don't think he ever won a hand....but can't be sure because I was off playing slots on a couple of the reveals....and probably told some friends later he had played poker today....if that's "playing poker".....oy vey....I have had some success in the past on tables like this one....but the key is decent pocket cards.....and although I never catch enough decent pockets....but than who does....a decent day on that point....now the flop....not to mention the turn and river....very unfriendly.....never made a hand the entire time....from my POV "a hand" is trips or better.....did win a grand total of 4 pots....1 decent, 2 small & 1 blind.....3 of which were on two pair....and the other on a pair of Aces....but 4 wins out of 47 hands....( a win every 11.75 hands played} doesn't bode well for your stack....just too many blinds and calls of reasonable pre-flop raises because you have decent hole cards and want to see the flop....ergo....30 minutes played....47 hands played....a hand played every 38.3 seconds....pace of play was insane....left 6,820$ on the table....but all things considered played some good poker....no dummkopf calls.....just didn't catch a hand....but a decent day at the slots....3/5 & 1K....first drop of the day was a double....a how to get rich quick ad....

   "Up and at 'um" as we used to say back in the day [grew up rural] at the usual time....and off to Poker....or at least that's what I thought....what I found only vaguely resembled poker....the usual 1000/500 blind table....so I took a "chair" at what was a 3 player table [at times a table of 4] & placed my 125K max-buy-in on the said "table"....big stack 400'K+.....me....and a 50K stack....who preceded to go all-in pre-flop on virtually every hand....for a brief time there were no "takers'....just a series of folds....me thunk....maybe he'll just go away....on one hand he folded pre-flop....I caught a hand....flopped 2 pair....a board pair and hit one of my pocket cards....[actually end up with "3 pairs".....when the river paired my pocket Ace] and won a small pot....a small pot to be sure...but a pot in-excess of 10K....one mission accomplished....but then the big stack decided to play....only thought about joining once....pocket Kings....but not seriously.....and the all-inner went on a hot streak and eventually busted the big stack out....and because of the dang auto-re-buy was back with a min-buy-in [25K] and the carnage continued....the 16+ hands played banner appeared....but on a vain hope that the silliness would cease....played a couple more hands....it didn't....so I didn't....play any more hands that is....ergo....9 minutes played....19 hands played [that's a hand every 28.4 seconds....oy vey].....left 4,350$ on the table....[no slots....but at that pace of play wouldn't have had time to play any slots if I had wanted to]....IMNSHO....what I observed is not poker....and I really can't call it "Russian Roulette" either....because in truth there is nothing at stake except faux money....I try to make sense of that style and the only sense I can make of it is...."non-sense"....

   A pretty typical start time to the day....logged on to Poker just a minute after 06:00....1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in-in "hand"....a table of 4 players but quickly filled to an average of 5 to 6 players for the majority of the session....briefly 3 & 7.....no sightings of the kamikazes....but some pot pushing....brief visits by a couple of "any-two-carders" and a couple of very aggressive types....the type that bets pre-flop, after the flop, turn, and all-in after the river....maybe gets lucky for a hand or two....but eventually gets caught and show the door....haven't come up  with a name for them as of yet....but something will eventual come to me....I won a decent pot first hand at the table....and the 10K+ banner made an appearance....and for awhile was playing yo-yo with my stack...I was up....I was down....repeat....slightly before the 40 minute mark of the session I was in the small blind with an Ace of Hearts....&....i don't remember the other card....played no part in what followed....got in for a call of the big blind....then the flop....3 more Hearts....1 was first to act....check....raise to my left....call from the button....call....a table of 6 at that point but now a three handed game....turned another Heart....and I had the nut flush....just a check....lets go fishing....a large raise....a call from the button....smooth call....river was a blank....no board pairs....and no straight flush possible....thought about a raise but checked....to my left an all-in....which I had cover....a call from the button....thought  about a re-raise but had been watching the player to my immediate right....sound, experienced player....more hands played than me....figured if I raised he'd fold so just a call and a very nice pot....later lost a straight to a rivered flush....and a flush to a better flush....but a good day of play....ergo....60 minutes played....62 hands played [58 seconds/hand]....9 winners [1 out of every 7 hands]....took an extra 40,325$ with me when I departed....[0/7 at the slots]....first drop...42'K w/ad....

    I did get on a 1000/500 blind table with the usual 125K max-buy-in-in-tow....and played some Poker [more on that later]....and then continued with the rest of my morning internet routine....checked my email accounts....emptied the trash bins....check my 3 blogs....logged on my FB account....check my mod message board....and opened tabs for all pending alerts....and then got a "no internet connection" page on my browser....well the internet here can be a little flaky....after some messing around discovered that, it wasn't my WiFi connection it was that Facebook wasn't there....my first re-action was who cares....but then....wait a second....I access Mahjong FRVR, Fall Spades, & "POKER"!!!!! through Facebook....oy gavalt....will check back periodically but for now at least....the only Poker of the day.....if it hadn't been my first session of the day....aka "The Quest for the Missions".....I would have turned tail and ran....pot-pushing, "any to carding" and a "Table Captain"....oh my....just not my table....did manage to collect both missions and got outta there....ergo....25 minutes played....a 3 to 6 player table in a constant state of flux....29 hands played[52 second hands]....4 winners....2 blind pots, a small pot & a split small pot [a win every 7.25 hands]....left with 20,725$ of my buy-in now in another player[s] stack....just a hair less than the drop I took prior to play....just checked again Facebook is still nowhere to be found, ho hum, but then neither are the games I play through FB.....@#&&%$!!!!....[09:00 UTC-4]....Facebook is back up....access to games restored....[11:00 UTC-4] after the earlier drop s/ad....second drop of the day the "ad" re-appeared....????....

   Another day....another late start....and off to another 1000/500 blind w/ 125K max-buy-in in-tow....got right on a table....no normal weekend delay....and a table that was for the entire time I played however brief that was....a 3 to 5 player table....for the duration of my stay....a player [tournament experience} who if he had even half way decent pocket cards would bet 5'x the big blind pre-flop....as  annoying as that is to me in general....on days when I flat wasn't catching....it really [as we would have said back in the day] "drives me up a wall"....won two blind pots right out of the gate....and just one more hand when I rivered a flush....and did  make trips another time....but when the river put 3 to a flush on the board....with a 25'K raise before me [again the aforementioned player]....I folded....and he had the flush....but the 20 minute mark was approaching....and I'd only won 3 hands....both 16+ & 10K+ missions in hand....decided to minimize the loss and depart....ergo....20 minutes played....25 hands played....a hand every 48 seconds....only 3 winners [that's 12% of the hands played....not too good....on a table of 3 to 5....with 4 or 5 hands "heads up" which I won nary a single one of them]....left 9,025$ on the table....with all the blinds I got off cheap....[no slots]....

   Kind of a late start this morning....never started play on a 1000/500 blind table until 07:01....took a "chair' and plunked down my 125K max-buy-in....I'm not completely sure what I witnessed the first 3 hands....either a end of the "end of session death match" or the last gasp of a kamikaze raid....in any case the table of 5 soon was a table of 3....all new players....none of the former players survived....first hand had pocket Kings....and a quick fold after an all-in....just way too early to test the fates....but quickly new players arrived and the average table was about 4 or 5....pace of play was a tad slower this morning.....w/ a hand every 54.6 seconds....there were a couple of players who liked the idea of going all-in after the river....and a couple of "any-two-carders"....and a few rounds of "My pair is better than Your's"....but not a bad table.....besides except for the hand where I lost my trip Jacks to a rivered straight....the board was in general more kind to me than/usual....made two "nut flushes"....one on the turn....rivered the other....a couple of straights....flopped one of them....and a full house....and some miscellaneous blind/small pots....I was looking at a Jack/Six suited....in the big blind and got  to see the flop for a call....flop came Six/Six/Jack....but the "any-to-carder' bet 2K....smooth call....turned the 3rd Jack....again a raise this time 3'K....rivered a Ace....although with 5 cards it was a house.    Just another typical start....as/usual 1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....and IMNSHO....a table straight out of one of the lowest levels  of the abyss....not every hand but more more often then not a pre-flop raise....and then a series of continuation bets....and a short table to boot....3 to 5 players....and an extremely aggressive one as well....so blinds came pretty quickly....a hand every 44 seconds....now my tactic on tables like this is to pick your spots....only call on good hands....and don't chase....but I got a fair number of good pocket cards....and "paid the piper" to see the flop....and rarely hit the flop....three or four times had 4 to a straight or flush....need to see the turn....never hit either a straight or flush....and a couple of times lost a high two pair to run/run straights or flushes....oy vey....only won 4 hands....and only one half way decent pot....oy vey....and this was a morning I really wanted to play an extended session....but about 30 minutes in just decided that to extend was a wasted effort on my part....ergo....31 minutes played....left 49,450$ on the table....but managed to leave with both 16+ & 10K+ missions in hand....really just not my day....[no slots]

   Just for the sake of trying decided to try to get on a 200/100 blind table....after the difficulties  awhile back with not getting on a table and moving my game up to a 1000/500 blind table....with my 25K max-buy-in in-hand....got right on....and it was a miniature of the table I just had left....and my luck....or lack of....there of....came along for the ride....the only hand I had decent pocket cards I caught....a Queen/Jack unsuited....a kamikaze was to my right....and with the way the day was going should of folded....but in a "what the hey" moment....called....[had him "covered"]....didn't hit squat....ergo....15 minutes play....a 3 to 5 table....18 hands played....[50 second hands]....and another 17,430 down the drain....good grief....first drop of the day....s/ads....may "visit" from time to time but the advantage of the 1000/500 blind table  is that even on a bad day at the table I still have a better than even money chance of achieving the 10K+ plus mission.....the game within the game....

   An interesting day at the tables....tried and failed 5 or 6 times to get on a 1000/500 blind table....but eventually did....so thought maybe heavy play when I finally got a "chair" was expecting a 6+ player table....and my arrival made it a table of 4 players....????....a few hands at a table  of 3....and a couple at 6 players....but on average a 4/5 table....and only the rare silliness....an occasional pre-flop raise....a bit of pot-pushing....but basically a table where I could play the style I prefer....mostly small ball poker....with the exception of a player with 10K+ hands played....and a couple around 2K hands played....the players were all under 300 hands played....and 2 came to the table with under 100 hands played....rooks....what happened to the second don't know....he was still at the table when I left....the other one was playing  pretty well....won some small pots....and was up a little from his 50K or so buy-in....lost one of the larger pots....either didn't see or ignored 4 to a straight or flush and took a big hit....at which point he started to chase....all-ins....got away with the first two when the rest of the table folded....and then he got caught and was gone....could I have won maybe two hands...nice pots....when the turn or river gave me a straight or flush....yup....but would I have lost the other dozen times when it didn't come....if the price is right I will on occasion pay to see a "miracle" card....but the price has to be right...preferably if the price is a "check"....thought about leaving a couple of times....and what I do quite often...."I'll play once more thru the blinds"....both times caught a hand in the blinds....or on the button....ergo....62 minutes played....81 hands played [that works out to about one hand every 45 seconds]....didn't win a whole lot of hands....about 1 out of every 8 hands played....but did manage to exit with 1,960$ I hadn't brung with me....plus another 400$....1/5 at slots....

   Up and off to play Poker....1000/500 blind table....max-buy-in....[125K]....a table that was basically a 3 to 5 player table for the duration....which this morning was short....first impressions....this just isn't a table suited for my style....after checking the other players stats....there were a couple of "tournament" players....now I've had good days on occasion playing with/against tournament players....but these were a breed apart....if they have good pocket cards....you can expect a pre-flop raise of around 2.5'x the big blind....but with this pair it was 4 to 5 times the big blind....not every hand...but the majority of hands....not only with a short table are you in the blinds a high percentage of the hands....but there are just some hole cards take you need to see a flop....so a call is called for....had pocket pairs 3 times and missed the flop....played 16 minutes before I made a hand....a straight....won a decent pot....saw the 10K+ banner....[already had the 16+ mission]....a couple of hands later did win a blind pot....now sometimes I'll stay....the thought of maybe catching the "nuts" and a big pot....but reality set in....just not my table....and I left....ergo....19 minutes played....21 hands played....left 24,100$ at the table....[no slots].....only a roulette spin so far....315'K....so don't know whether or not we'll see any  ads today....[12:05-UTC-4]....[....first three drops of the day....no ads....4th drop and an ad....????....]....

   I mentioned yesterday that I had a doctor's appointment this AM....so logged on as/usual....early....1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....got both missions but decided with the appointment not to claim the 16+ mission and the 2x clock until I returned....just a 6 month routine checkup....but....you never know....got a clean bill of health....got back to the rooms and saw I was 36 minutes from a drop....decided to take the drop and then claim the mission....which I will probably do while in the process of writing this post....
   Got down early when my two pair got beat by a flopped straight....and  then started to catch some decent hands....,and a friendly board....at one point I had been down to less than 50K....had just got back to just over 100K when....a pot pushing....bully arrived....folded and watched a few hands....except for one time he wasn't making hands....just large bets to force others off they hands....after a few hands I looked down on Queen/Nine suited....in the small blind....the bully bets 3'K....but I wanted to see the flop so called....flop gave me another Queen and a Nine....a 10'K bet....and a call....3rd Queen arrives on the turn....another 10K....and another call....and then the river....[pause while I take a drop, and claim the 16+ mission]....and who should appear but the fourth Queen....call....raise....re-raise....you know the drill....and a very nice pot....table size varied form 3 players [a few hands "heads up"] to as many a 7....but average was 5 or less....with never a sighting of as kamikaze....just the usual "any-two-carders" and put pushers....and of course several games of "my pair is bigger that your pair"....ergo....41 minutes played....60 hands played....left with an extra 14,099$ I hadn't brung with me....and another 2'K from a 3/7 session with "Ye Olde One Arm Bandito"....
