Pokerist: a crazy session..every thing from a three handed "friendly game" up to a nine player kamikaze fest..reminded me of the old pro wrestling match..an "Over the Top Battle Royale"...at one point a player who had been on a hot streak and had 2.5K$+ in his stack..lost a big hand..went on "full tilt" and busted out three hands later..??..two tables played..1st table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."fast play clock" set for nine..first hand..4 players..loose play..after the fourth hand..it was just me and the dealer..waited about a minute..no arrivals so left..won three of the four hands played..2nd table..2$1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.. "normal play clock"..set for nine a couple off hands heads up and every possible combination up to and include a full table of nine..in general wild and crazy play reigned..many kamikaze..now after checking "Quests"&"Achievements" before play..discovered one of the "Quests" was "Win with a Straight" & on "Straight III" 1 needed two to compete the "Achievement"..ergo..any two cards that the right three on the board would make a straight got played..all-in if necessary..actually made four during the session and collect both bonuses..other than that just tried to play decent pocket cards..pairs..paint..both suited & unsuited connectors..and used my "cash-out" tactic..made Trips three times..four times if you count the Full Boat I made..but never with a pocket pair..had pocket pairs 7 or 8 times and only won one pot with 2-pair..last hand before I left hand pocket Queens..yup lost the pot to pocket Aces..../....It hand been my intention to play for 2 hours..but just before the second hour struck..the wild play morphed into a semi-friendly..semi-aggressive 3 or 4 handed game..so stuck around..only out bursts were all-ins pre-flop with a singleton Ace or pocket pair..and we had min-raising..continuation betting any-two-carder in residence..enjoyed the challenge that that kind of table provides..as I aforementioned..lost the pot to a better pocket pair..again..next hand waved "bye-bye" to the table and booked it..ergo..<{stats}>..153 minutes played..163 hands played..56.3 seconds/hand..22 pots won..1 for every 7.4 hands played.. Pokerist: one of my better and more profitable sessions in a while..one table..2$/1$ blinds.."normal play clock"..set for nine..a few hands "heads up"..a few more hands with three or four at the table than want was become the recent norm..and up to a full table of nine..and changing constantly..hard to put an average number on it..play varied from friendly to semi-aggressive..for a while there was an any-two-carder with 2$ pre-flop raises and 2$ continuation bet..and of course a whole gaggle of kamikaze..and the accompanying dive bombers..now I freely admit that from the get I was willing to play along with the all-inners if I had suited cards in the pocket..I was chasing a flush..one more and I'd complete "Flush III" and pickup 170K$..which I eventually did..for most of  the day was using a cash-out tactic..win a pot..fold the next..cash-out and return with 40$..except if I had decent looks in the pocket and could cover the pre-flop raise if any to see the flop..and it worked a couple of times to my advantage..had completed two of the three "Quests" early.."5 hands played"..& "win two hands with flush or better"..the flush & a full boat took care of that..but had given up on the other.."win with a high card"..just before I "booked it"..5 handed..and won a piece of the pot with a singleton King..so it was a good day..all three "Quests".."Flush III" & an my best results so far on a 2$/1$ table..up 1,102$..and decided to cut the session a l little shorter than/usual..waved "bye-bye" to the table and made my exit..ergo..<{stats}>..102 minutes played..127 hands played..48.2 seconds/hands..21 pots won..1 for every 6+ hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@1,742.5''K$.."Up:"+192,602$("Daily Bonus:"+3K$.."Quests(3/3)"+17.5K$.. Pokerist: my longest session to date..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."normal play clock"..set for nine..play varied from three or four handed to a full table of nine..most hands with six or seven players..and from a friendly game to a kamikaze fest..was up early but after the first 20 minutes or so..the kamikaze descended..and I went better than an hour with out winning a pot..wasn't getting good looks in the pocket and when I did just didn't catch..I lost count of how many times I flopped or turned 4 to a straight or flush and never hit the card..and eleven different time total a winning hand to the river and got it "washed away"..a couple were runner/runner..but finally started making a few hands and winning a couple of pots..completed one "Quest" for winning with a pair twice..and one of the other "Quests" was bet 125K on a single hand..not in this life time..and the third was win  with a straight..the hour was up and no straight despite having numerous draws for one..on the button..Queen/Jack unsuited..fold 4 to the straight and turned the straight..it held up..next hand..folded..waved "bye-bye" to the table..and  made my exit..during play I had a Seven/Two suited..not a hand I would normally play but was in the "small" and got to see the flop for a call of the blind + a 2$ raise from an any-two-carder..flopped 4 to the flush.. turned the flush..and it  held up..got an ""Achievement Alert"..10K$ for a "Beer Hand"..winning a pot with a starting hand of a Seven/Two..who knew??..but checking my stats I'm only one flush away from another "Achievement"..ergo..<{stats}>..133 minutes played..94 hands played..a snail's pace 85 seconds/hand..only 12 winners..1 for every 7.83 hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@1.551'KS.. Pokerist: got a tad of a late start to the day so cut the morning session down to 91 minutes..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."normal play clock"..a table with nine chairs..everything from "heads up" to a full table..but more hands  with four or less players than /usual.."friendly" at times..semi-aggressive at times..and at others a full blown "kamikaze fest"..and towards the end of the session 3 "elite" players were at the table..early there was a brief lull when it was a fairly friendly table of "heads up" to four players..so didn't deploy "cash-out"..but with the return of the aggressive..all-in before the flop style I would fold after a win..and cash-out and return with a 40$ stake..I'll play with the all-inners  when I have a good pocket cards..but would prefer to take a "limited" risk..during play I had made 2 previous full boats..and when I made the third got an alert that I'd completed "Full House III" & collected 170K$..add to that the 10K$ "Quarter" from yesterday's afternoon session a decent nice start to the day..also had a decent day's play..didn't quite win by what I had lost in yesterday's afternoon session..but go most of it back..plus went 3/3 on the daily "Quests" so a very nice result for the day..but..I have a couple more "Achievements" in reach and then the rest are in the distant future..ergo..I Am determined to take the "tortoise approach" to play..stay within the daily "house money(aka:daily bonus)"..do what I can to complete the daily "Quests"..and limit my exposure to losses at the table(s)..ergo..stick to play on the 2$/1$ tables and deploy "cash-out" when called for..maybe not a flashy style of play..but it's the one that makes the most sense to me..or it that the most cents..90 minutes stuck when I was in the "small"..and exited from the button..[as/usual stats reflect both yesterday's afternoon & this mornings session]..ergo..,{stats}>..141 minutes played..162 hands played..52.2 seconds/hand..32 pots won..1 for every 5&1/16th hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@1,528'K$.."Up:"+208,452$("Daily Bonus:"+15K$.."Quests(3/3):"+13.5K$.."Achievements:"+180K$.."Table(s):"-48$)..../....

Pokerist: off to play my/usual morning session..one table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in..["slow play clock"]..set for nine..numbers varied from a three handed game up to and include a full cast of nine..for the majority of the session the play was very loose..many kamikaze..and I wasn't getting many good looks..and more often than not when I did catch a hand I got beat..better 2-pair..river card..runner-runner..but did manage to win four pots with pair for one "Quest" and after chasing a straight for most of the session made one and a "Quest"..completed all three..the other play 5 hands at a table(.5K)..for almost my entire session there were to "elite" players at the table..both were catching..and I tried just to play good pockets and stay out of the way..but the last 30 minutes(+/-)..it changed into a more friendly board with just occasional loose play..the two "elites" were still there..and a short visit by a player with similar stats to mine..but a whole pack of "rooks"(under 100 hands played) and I gleefully took advantage of them..I finally started catching a few more nice hands..for most of the session I'd been using the "cash-out" tactic..but when I went on a min-run..left the money on the table..2 hours were up..played to the button..waved "bye-bye" to the table..and left..(as/usual stats reflect both yesterday's afternoon session and this mornings)..ergo..<{stats}>..182 minutes played..161 hands played..67.8 seconds/hand..23 pots..1 for every 7 hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@1,319.5'K$.."Up:"+24,495$("Quests(3/3):"+23.5K$.."Tables(2):" +995$).."Total Hands Played" now stands@2,576..10th "Level(n/c)"..../....

Pokerist: one of my better sessions to date..at least at the table..but something is gnawing at me..I started the day with 19 days played & played a 75 minute session..and ended the day credited for 19 days played..??..now I did  change my avatar but I don't see why that should make a difference..maybe it's figured when the game re-cycles..??..anyhow..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."slow play clock"..set for nine..a couple of hands with three or four at the table but as many hands or more with eight or nine..mostly six players or more..first 20 minutes or so was a  more or less friendly table..and I did pretty well..but towards the end the "big stack" started "targeting"..raising just enough to put me all-in..oh yeah..deploy "cash-out" tactic..and would have anyways because within a few hands the table was hosting a meeting of "Kamikazes "R" Us"..one good note..for a change the MadTrollie was catching..of my 13 pots..8 were with "Trips or Better"..and for the most part only played good looks..except late in the session I did "chase" if I had suited pocket cards regardless of what they were..one of the "Quests" was win with a flush..which I finally hit..was on the button when the hours struck..table of eight at the time..but decided to play "once around"..got to the button and was looking at a Blackjack..King/Jack as it happened both Spades..well I couldn't fold that..rivered the Ace high straight..and to my surprise a one time 10K$ for winning a hand when your pocket cards were a Blackjack..waved bye-bye next hand..and made my exit..because I was using the "cash-out" tactic..thought I must be ahead at the table but was pleasantly surprised..ergo..<{stats}>..75 minutes played..63 hands played..71.4 seconds/hand..13 pots..1 for every 4.85 hands played..guess I can't complain about not catching.."Current Bank" now stands@1,112'KS.."Up:" +20,451$("Daily Bonus:" +2K$.."Quests(3/3):" +6.5'KS.."Achievements ("Chat Master II"&"Blackjack"):" +11K$ & "Table:" +951$(best day so far).."Total Hands  Played" now stands@1,884..../....

Pokerist: another crazy morning session of poker(?)..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."slow play clock"..set for nine..play varied from a four handed game to a full table..hard to pick an average of players on any given hand..to many comings & goings..but again the MadTrollie found himself seated a the a kamikaze table..ergo..if I had decent hole cards then I join in..if not I'd fold..if I was fortunate enough to win a pot..and the next hand I didn't have decent hole cards..I'd fold..cash out and return with 40$..and repeat the cycle..I'm toying with the idea of after cashing out returning with the min 20$ buy-in..less to lose..but a small piece of the pot..??..on a hand where I had back to back decent looks..had a pocket Ace/Ten unsuited..turn put trip Fives on the board..had covered a couple of all-ins & only me and a player who had me covered to bet after the turn..other player went all in..who had been at table for awhile..went all-in..my "read" told me..pocket pair..paired a hole card..and then she has a Five..folded..she had Five..so avoid a beat on that one..as/usual lost far more pots than I lost..not to say I din't hit some nice hands..some of which I lost to slightly better hands but on average held my own..not the style of poker I'd prefer to play however I think with use of my "cash-out" tactic I can survive..besides the "real faux money" in this game is in the "Daily Bonuses..Achievements..

Pokerist:..because of my plans for the day I altered my usual routine and logged on to play poker an hour earlier than is/usual..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in.."slow play clock"..set for nine players..number of players varied from three to a full table of nine..and with the comings & goings varied almost every hand..but usually a five to seven handed game..there is a good reason why I've selected "The Best of Wagner" to listen to while posting because this gimpy_grumpy_old codger who prefers to play a small ball_slow play_trapping style found himself at a table in one of the lowest dungeons in the lowest regions of the Abyss where pure "Kamikaze "Poker"" was the word of the day..[[note]: "Poker" was placed in quotes because what was played only vaguely resembles actual Poker]..very few hands indeed where half of the table was all-in..and most hands at least one or two pre-flop..and in the midst of this chaos I just wasn't getting very many "good looks" in the pocket..in all the hands I played..only had one look at pocket pairs..and got no help from the board..did manage a couple of winners but not enough to cover my bust-outs..but when I got a "good look" and wanted to see the flop..I just clicked "call all" because I knew I'd have to be all-in to see it..another thing that made play difficult..there was another player..avatar a old fashion_ethnic St. Nick_who "ran the clock" on almost every hand..and almost always either went all-in or folded..??..anyways I took a beating at the table and dropped the most $s that I have in my play on this site on the tables..but last hand I played..(folded from the button..folded and wave bye-bye on the next}..had a pocket King/seven suited..paired the Seven on the flop..and rivered the set..completed the three "Quest" & the "Three of a Kind II" I've been chasing..so table-wise..a bad day..but game-wise..not bad atall..ergo..:{stats}:..60 minutes played..65 minutes played..55.4 seconds/hand..4 winners..1 out of every 16.25 hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@ 1,075.1'K$.."Up:" +67,028$("Daily Bonus:" +12K$.."Quests(3/3):" +3.5K$.."Achievements(Three of a Kind II):" +52K$.."Table:" -472$)..../....

Pokerist: an interesting session..and a profitable one in a couple of ways..one table..as/always 2$/1$ blinds..40$..table set for nine players.."slow play clock"..dang..I hate the slow play clock but especially on the weekends you take any "chair" you can find..play varied from a three handed game up to and including nine handed game..average..six to eight handed..style..some splashes of the pot when a player had a pocket Ace_pair_paint or suited connectors..some any-two-carding..pot-pushing..continuation betting and one bout of "My pairs bigger than Your's is"..with the entire table ending up all-in..The MadTrollie included..the last two days I've been "stuck" on one short of completing the "Win with 3 of a Kind II Achievement"..ergo for the last 15 minutes or so I'd call any raise made if I had a pair..lost track of how many times I busted out..never made the set..but left the table still up a little for the session..about mid-way thru the session..had a King/Eight suited in clubs..at this point I was 1 flush away from achieving "Flush II"..for once the board showed me mercy..flop was the Ace of Clubs and two little Clubs..and the "Nut Flush"..and it's 82K$ award..which pushed my "Current Bank" past the 1M$ mark..I'd do a "happy dance" but would probably trip over my cane and bust  my tuckus...hour struck.. the button to my immediate left(eight at the table at that point)..but was "chasing" that elusive set..played back to the button..waved bye-bye to the table and left..ergo..<{stats}>..70 minutes played..65 hands played..64.6 seconds/hand..10 winners..1 for every 6.5 hands played.. Pokerist: a very disjointed day at the tables..1 table..as/always 2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in..table set for nine.."slow play clock"..(after some consideration I see no advantage to playing at any other table save I will play at a table of five if that's all that's available)..from a couple of hands "heads up" up to and including a full table of nine..most hands were with five to seven players.. some raids by kamikaze..but mostly splashes pre-flop with a pocket Ace or pair..a little any-two-carding..continuation betting..pot-pushing..and I couple of bouts of "My pair's bigger than Your's is" and an ersatz table captain..but little "targeting" by betting exactly enough to put a another player all-in..never busted..and decided not to cash out and return with 40$..first 45 minutes(+/-)..I was getting good looks and getting frequent pieces of the flop or hit a turn or river card..made ten pots..and was up a bunch..but of the ten winners..not a quality hand among 'um..last 21 minutes(+/-)..kept getting decent looks in the pocket but couldn't catch a board card..until 3 hands before I left had pocket Queens and flopped the set..up to that point had "leaked away" the majority of my winnings..decided enough was in deed enough..ergo..exit stage left..<{stats}>.. minutes played..53 hands played..74.7 seconds/hand..11 winners..1 for every 4.82 hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@911,969$.."Up:"+8,782$(+7K$("Daily Bonus")..+1.5K$(2/3-"Quests" & +282$("Table")..8th level(n/c)..[[From the Tables]..one piece of piece of good news..the set put me one away from competing "Three of a Kind II"..and I'm one away from both "Flush II" & "Straight Flush II" and a whole bunch of "Achievement" K$s..the bad news after that most of the "Achievements" are far away..or of little value..ergo.."Quests" & the table will be my focus]..../....

Pokerist: A wild 65 minute session at the table this morning..1 table..2$/1$ blinds..40$ buy-in_"sloe clock speed"..set for nine..briefly a three or four handed game..however most hands were with seven to nine players..and except for the "short" table were a friendly game was played..the rest of the time it was "Kamikaze Central"..now I prefer to play a small ball_slow play_trapping style..but after the lull of the friendly game and the return of the kamikaze I decided to join the ranks of the "Dive-bombers"....IF..I had reasonable pockets..and caught some hands & if I won a decent pot I'd cash-out and rejoin the game with a 40$ stack..well I caught some hands..of my 7 pots won..all were very decent pots..and all quality hands..but only got 2 of the three "Quests" for the day..one was "win with a straight" never made one..[shrugs]..but made two sets..both Kings..one flush..2 full boats..and once quad-Aces..three visits from old Anna Kounikova..the old A/K..let me down once..the others..one on a set of Kings..won the pot with the Ace kicker..and the other..A/K flopped a set of Aces..and turned the quads..on the other hands..I lost count of how many all-ins I made..10+ for sure..and admit to chasing a straight with any 2 cards close enough to need three board cards for a straight..no joy..hour was up..played to the button and left..ergo..<{stats}>..65 minutes played..57 hands played..73.6 seconds/hand..(yawn)..7 winners..1 out of every 7.6 hands played.."Current Bank" now stands@ 903,177$.."Up:" +6.851$ from yesterday("Daily Bonus:" + 5K$.."Quests(2/3)" + 1.5K$.."Table:" +351$..[no achievements gained..8th Level(up 1 from yesterday)..../....
