Up and off to play some Poker [Super Happy Fun Time style].....found a table at 06:02....1000/500 blind table..../usual 125K max-buy-in....a table which fluctuated from 5 to 7 players....and a nest of "any two carders, pot pushers, and re-occurring, spats of "My pairs bigger than your pair".....no kamikaze....dive bombers....oy vey....now much as I prefer to see the flop for a call or a check of the big blind....you do catch pocket cards that basically require [for lack of a better word] for you to "make the call"....and I did have pocket pairs 3 times....once pocket Kings....and suited connectors a few times....and the odd pocket Ace....so took the plunge....never hit the flop....in any meaningful way....played 25 hands....never won a hand....and lost my pocket Kings to a rivered straight....ergo....24 minutes played....25 hands played....for all intents and purposes a hand/minute....which is a cycle time I usually like....so I looked down at my stack....I'm down 63'K....which was exactly what I had just gained on a roulette spin before I "sat down".....and thought enough is more than enough....and left....but got the 16+ mission so the clock is running....
I've been playing this particular Poker game for over a year....tried several others but this one IMNSHO was the closest to the "real thing".....and was before the game went mobile.....but at best a "free" game can only simulate real poker....there's nothing to lose.....and the only thing you real spend is time....and being retired I have lots of that to spend....but the combination of no real risk....and the mobile player....or as I like to call the "hit and run" player....speaking of which....I wonder if there have every been a "fender bender" because someone was going all-in on a Poker table while his/her eyes should have been on the road....[end rant]....Last drop late last night and the one I just took were with ads. again....

2] Fall Spades: three games were played today....[first game]....nine hands played....fourth hand....partner failed his nil bid & "we" bagged [-100 pts.] & "they" were set...."we" 509 pts. + 19 bags + 2 made nil bids + 1 failed nil bid....vs....."they" 22 pts. + 2 bags + set five times + 1 made nil bid....[second hand]....twelve hands played.....on the first hand partner failed to make its' part of the bid & "we" were set & second hand partner failed a nil bid....and yet...."we" 503 pts. + 13 bags [-100 pts.] + set once + 1 failed nil bid + 1 made nil bid....vs...."they" 489 pts. + 9 bags + set twice + 1 made nil bid.....[third hand]....twelve hands played....for the third game in a row partner failed a nil bid...."we" 555 pts. + 15 bags [-100 pts] + 1 made nil bid + 1 failed nil bid....vs...."they" 250 pts. + 10 bags [-100 pts.] + set once + 1 failed nil bid....
