A typical start to the day....rolled out of bed and off to play some Poker....2 reasons really....1] just helps me jump start the "old brain box" in the morning....2] if I complete the 16+ mission...gives me a "jump" on taking full advantage of the drops/roulette....being retired....and a "walker"....days in the winter I'm in most of the day....
Took a "chair" at was with few exceptions a short table....a few hands at 5 players.....and one at 6 players....but mostly a 3 or 4 handed game....and with few exceptions....no pre-flop nonsense....a brief visit from an "any-two-carder".....which I don't mind if I'm catching....and at times I was....and late a "showdown in the 'street'" like in the old western movies....between the other 2 "big stacks" at the table....and the winner decided I guess he was the "top gun" [as it were] and started pot pushing....I looked at the clock....30 minutes played....both missions in my "saddlebags" and a nice chuck of change and rode off into the sunset.....made a bunch of small/blind pots....but 6 really nice pots....on two flushes....one straight...twice trips...and once I built a house....a Trollie house....a pair of Jacks....and trip Threes....with the pace of play which was beyond frantic....never got a chance to check the stats of the others at the table....and even though the number of players was reasonably constant....a lot of comings and goings.....on one hand the "any-two-carder" keep raising when there was 4 to an Ace high straight on the board....I kept calling with the thought that we were looking at a split pot....{made the straight on the turn....which had put the 4th card to a straight on the board].....reveal comes....he didn't even have two pair....????....ergo....rode in to the sunset [checks the clock] make that sunrise with 90,275$ extra taken from the table and another 2,100$ from a 3 for 5 day at the slots....
