   Maybe a tad of a late start today....but got a head start on the day....awoke during the night....and knew I had a drop waiting on Poker....so took the drop and went back to bed....
   Took a "chair" at  1000/500 blind table....caught the very end of a probable "end of the session" showdown....when that was over and those  players had gone....table settled down....and I got to play may fav style of Poker....small ball....only rarely any pre-flop raises....and with few exceptions only pot building raises....and a short table....and most hands 3 or 4 players at the table....and for a change was hitting a reasonable number of flops....and it turned out the the turn was kind to me as well....no big pots to be won....but than not big pots to be involved in only to get rivered....did make few of those calls where it was a real chance that I was beat....but the "price was right"....won one, lost one, and split three....seemed like it was bargain day at the 1000/500 blind table....most of the players who came and went had a buy-in of under 50K....[125K max buy-in]....and for most of the session I was the "high stack" at the table....made my share of trips....straights and a flush or two....but no big pots won or lost...."small ball" just the way I like it....for some time I was so focused on the missions [16+ & 10K+] that I'd leave the table when the banners fell....have quit that....looked up and saw I had played for 40 minutes +/- and decided to play one more hand....was on the button and looked down on pocket Tens....looked at the clock again....+/- 50 minutes....in the small blind....Jack/Nine unsuited got in for a call....flop 4 to a straight....turned the straight....new player at the table....flashes "great hand" and I get a "hot-dog" throw at me....it was Lady K....in the past we've played a lot of hands at the same table....really good player....ergo....61 minutes played....77 hands played....left with an extra 15,900$....but really had a "blast" at the table....and probably played the best poker I've played in quite awhile....

   Off and running at a pretty typical time....I think my brain is hardwired after many years of punching a clock....I guess it didn't get the memo....or I suppose now-a-days the text....
   Took a "chair" for my morning session of Poker....(us/usual....1000/500 blind table 125K max. buy-in)....a short table rarely more than 5 players....but for the greater majority of hands it was a 3 or 4 player table....with a couple of hands "heads up".....that is if you don't count "Casper the Friendly Ghost" a poor soul caught in the matrix....but unlike the "ghosts" on Blackjack 21 that effect the pace of play....Poker "ghosts" only take up a "chair"......Had some good pocket cards but the flop for the most part was unfriendly to me....and when I did catch a piece of the flop it was a "small" piece....bottom or middle pair....did win a few small/blind pots....but nothing major....and a great table....except for too many times in the blinds....very little pre-flop raises....about a half hour into the session I caught 3 or 4 decent pockets in a row and hit some flops and won a couple of decent pots....I was about to leave....but was in the small blind....and looked down on a Ace/Ten in the hole....flop came 7/7/Ace....a raise and 2 calls....a 3 player game....Ace on the turn....another raise....2 more calls....a 7 on the river....a raise (same player as before)....I'm sitting there with Aces full of 7's....call....dude had a 7 in the pocket....made quads....oy vey....but there was noway I was folding that hand....even if it was for the "rent money"....if he had me beat he had to "show me".....anyways....and....ergo....46 minutes played....63 hands played....left 58,100$ at the table....on the other side however....the game within the game as it were....had a Roulette spin waiting for me when I logged on this morning....and a chip from a 10K+ mission and hit the wheel for 1,680'K....so all is well....well except for those dang quad 7's....

   Weather is colder again....but the winds have died down....and some needed errands to run....but first....off to the Poker tables....
   Took a "chair" at what was for the greater majority of the time I played a "short" table....3 or 4 players most  of the time....and for the first 4 or 5 hands I was as we would have said back in the day...."hotter than a pistol".....first hand....big blind....Ace/Six....Ace in the flop....Ace on the turn....6 on the river....and a decent pot....next hand flopped trips....after that 2 pair....a top pair with top kicker (A/A/K)....and than again as we would have said back in the day "the pump went dry".....it was the better part of 20 minutes before I caught another hand....a lot like the first one....paired on the flop....trips on the turn....rivered the house....another decent pot....a couple of other wins after that...blind pots....oh and  a split pot....but nothing of import....ergo....42 minutes played....61 hands played....and more times in the blinds than I care to count or remember for that matter....took 11,425$ off the table that I hadn't "brung" plus 300$ from 1/5 spins on the slots....but with the "dry spell" for me....this was a table I could have got "hurt" at....but I only called decent pockets....and didn't chase....and made a little cash as well....both 16+ & 10K+ missions in-tow....

   Didn't plat as much as I do most days....but sometimes "real" life has a nasty way of interfering with my "virtual" life....thus was the situation today....also spend more time fulfilling my duties as a moderator on a Facebook group....and this applies to every game except Mahjong FRVR....there I guess the problem is I'm just a little "burnt out" were it's concerned....and I'm going to cut back on the number of puzzles I play per day....

   A tad of a late start....except for the high winds the predicted storm missed where I reside....however apparently they got hit pretty hard to the south of us....and off to Poker
   Unlike the last couple of days I got a "seat" at a table right off....very fluid table....lots of comings and goings....different players....different styles....and a bit of  everything....with the exception of no kamikaze in sight....some pot-pushing....and some "my pairs bigger than your pair"....I even got involved in one of those battles as well....turned out we were both wrong....turns out we both had Ace high straights....a huge pot....but a split pot....and I actually played for the most part some good poker....a bunch of decent pocket cards....hit a few more flops than I have been....but I left the table with a sour taste in my mouth....as they would have said back in the "day"....sometimes I can be such a putz....I had a Jack/Nine suited in the pocket....and the flop had a Jack/Nine in it....unfortunately all 3 were Clubs....another player keep making small raises....and turn and river were useless cards....he went all-in....I had him covered....and made a real bone head call...I wasn't "pot committed" at that point....made a knee jerk reaction call....and you guessed it he had 2 Clubs in the hole....I played decent Poker for most of the session....save for one bone head call....sometimes I can be such a dummkoph....oy vey....ergo....41 minutes played....51 hands played....left 58,765$ at the table....but "it 'tis what it 'tis....&....ain't what it ain't".....did manage to complete both 16+ & 10K+ missions....and still love playing the "game"....and know sometime on a future table will remember my bonehead call....and probably make another bone head call....just part of the game....

   Either I was lazy or rather my body was....slept later than/usual....and a late start getting to my morning Poker session....
   As/usual on the weekends of late....had trouble "finding" a table....so when I finally took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....there were three players with huge stacks....apparently had been playing for some time....a lot of pre-flop raises....ranging from a little pot building to "out & out" pot pushing and even an all-in or two....but I just geared down....and decided to play only good pocket cards....fluid table so many big blinds....I'm reminded of the old adage "Even a blind raccoon will eventually find a dumpster".....well maybe not that old of an adage....even with good pocket cards on the few occasions that I did hit a flop....it was always bottom pair....would have made one straight....but huge bet after the flop....at which point I only had 3 to the straight....would have had to go all-in....folded....and runner/runner....given the same situation another time....I'd make the same call again....I rarely chase....unless the "price is right".....but the old adage was right to some extent....I did win 2 pots and split another...."blind pots"....although a net loss....did manage to collect both the 16+ hands & 10K+ cash missions....but not a great day at the table...."My mom told me I'd have days like this....but not everyday"....ergo....30 minutes played....39 hands played....left 20,350$ at the table....

    Up and at 'em....normal time....but the new normal....rather than "run around" picking up all the free-bees on 4 different sites....went straight to poker....took the Roulette spin that awaited me and....

   I took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table (a slight wait....but than it is the weekend).....with zero expectations....I've been known to "bitch" about the number and kind of players at the table....no more (well....maybe....but not today)....1st hand....pocket 6's....chased them a little....made a couple of calls....no joy....next hand....pocket 5's...."trips" on the flop....turn no help....another player with a large raise....thought about it but made the call....rivered the quads....nice pot....and settled in for some Poker....with a nice addition to my stack....loosened up a little....played more hands....and "chased" more than/usual....glanced at the clock a few times....but no said I I'm having too much fun....I'll play around the table one more time....did that a couple of times....lost track of how many times the number of players at the table changed....a couple  of pre-flop all-ins....but player(s) turned out to have pocket pair(s)....one other hand....had a Jack/Eight suited....flop made me 4 to a flush....but there was also a possible straight....just a pot-builder raise from another player....smooth call....I "turned" the flush....the other player "rivered" the straight....went all-in....I had him/she covered....so called....would have called anyways....but one look at the board....no  chance of a straight/flush....and a nice pot....ergo....66 minutes played....64 hands played....took my leave with 47,850$ that I hadn't brought with me....but just had a 'real blast" (as we would have said back in the day)....playing the game....or rather the "GAME" ....because despite what other games I might play....I love me some poker....

   Decided to take another go at Poker....1000/500 blind table....and what I  got was a decent table....and some very nice pocket cards....what I didn't get....save the first hand I played....was a co-operative flop....got to the table....in the small blind....looking at a King/Nine suited....and the flop came with a Ten/Jack/Queen....mixed suits....not knowing the table made 3 straight pot building raises (2.5'K/)....only got a couple of players to call....and a decent pot....and the only pot....if you play long enough....you're going to have a session like that....fluid table....a bunch of blinds....and with the good selection of pocket cards....made a bunch of calls when not in the big blind....but did avoid a chase and a call when the hand just wasn't "there".....ergo....35 minutes played....36 hands played....left 26,025$ on the  table....

   We're under a high winds alert for Sunday morning through Monday morning.....winds of 35 to 45 mph....w/gusts to 75 mph....possible power outages....????....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table  to play some Poker....didn't get right on a table....game took a little time to find me a "chair"....normally only happens on weekends....?....at the beginning was a good table for me but wasn't catching....an aggressive player, and than a game of "chicken"....and than calm was restored....but a very fluid table....from a low of 4 players to as many as 8....but I ended up with a "yo-yo" kind of day....or at least my stack had a "yo-yo" day....it was up  and then done....repeat....ad nauseam...ad infinitum....with the exception of a blind pot I won with a rivered two pair....everyone of the few pots I won were on trips....I had pocket pairs twice....Queens and than Aces....and flopped the "trip" card....and trips on lower cards 3 times....the pocket ladies....was in the blinds and an pre-flop all-in before me....the all-in came from a player who had lost big on the last hand....it was only for about 8'K....I debated....but I'm looking at pocket Ladies....made the call....won the pot....nice pot....and it wiped out the loss I had when another player rivered a better 2 pair....32 minutes played....35 hands played....left with an extra 2,001$ I didn't bring (1,601$ from the table & 400$ from 2/8 at the slots)....but a good day....got to play my fav style....a little small ball....and some "slow play" of some good hands....I'm aware it's not a common style "here" but I'm a gimpy, grumpy, old Trollie, and I do what I like....

   Up around the usual time....I'm retired so it doesn't matter when I get up....however too many years of punching "the clock" and I think my body is hardwired to the old wake-up time....when I looked last night rain and snow were in the forecast....wind shifted and now just a windy day....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....my usual max buy-in  (125K)....and a wiser man than I would have watched a few hands and left....all-ins on virtually every hand....but decided to "ride out the storm"....knew if I did catch a hand on this table I'd have to "protect it"....decided to burn some slot spins....4/10...9,700$ won....and finally caught a hand....well not really...a Four/Three in the big blind and got to play for a call...flopped 2 pair....nothing else on the board....called a raise....another Three on the turn....called again....a nothing card on the river....and called a raise that put me all-in....and you've got it....my 3's full of 4's....lost to 4's full of 3....dude had pocket 4's....I just have to start making better "houses"....I'm reminded that I not playing with the rent  money....but truth be told I probably would have made that call if I had been playing with the rent money....but there again I'm not....and the loss isn't even 1% of my "bank"....but next time I'd like to think I'd walk away from a wild table like that....not conducive to my preferred style of play....small ball/slow play....but there again when it happens again I most likely will stay and play....because maybe the next time I'll build the better "house"....21 minutes played....25 hands played....left 125K + one blind at the table....and off for another day of online games....(I changed the background color....green felt...seems appropriate)

   I finally realized that I've gotten myself in to a "rut" so to speak....a routine if you will....well part of that isn't going to change....most days I'll still probably get up around the same time....and "hit the tables" early....At one time Poker was "the game"....I've been playing the site for about a year....but lately....it's been take a "chair"....get the 16+ hands mission so you can get the "fast clock" for drops/roulette....and the 10K+ cash mission and except for scoring the drops and roulette that was it....I was playing the "game within the game" very well....but I really wasn't "playing the GAME".....there was a time that I would play multiple times pre-day....and sometimes as much as 2 hours at a time....probably will not start doing that....but I do intend to play more than I have been....
   So that being said....took a "seat" to play some Poker....1000/500 blind table....125K max buy-in....auto re-buy engaged (not that I probably will need it but....???....)....a pretty typical table....more pot building than pot pushing....some all-ins....but not before the flop....very short table for the majority of the session....usually 3 or 4 players....a few hands "heads up".....once in a while 5 or 6....by the time the 16+ banner came down I already had the 10K+ mission in tow....but my stack was shrinking....caught a nice hand....got back a small bit of the "red ink"....and started catching better pockets....hit a few flops and before long was in the black....won a very nice pot....on a hand I'd only play from a blind....2/9 unsuited....flopped 2 pair....and the river built me a "house".....a weird one but a house non-the-less....3's full of 9's....ergo....41 minutes played....56 hands played....took an extra 3,119$ from the table when I left....not a king's ransom to be sure....but I really enjoyed the "GAME" and off to:....just decided mostly on a whim to relegate Blackjack 21 to the "Other Games Played" category....I've said many times before blackjack just is not my game....

   Boy that doesn't happen very often up here....I live in the lee of Lake Ontario....very rare to have no wind at all....early start....and off to the tables....
   First hand after I took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....in the big blind.....looking at an Ace/Seven....short table the whole session with few exception usually 3 to 5 at the table....and a rarity for this table....no pre-flop raises....preceded to flop two pair and won a decent pot....on the 3rd hand new player arrived and an extend game of "my pairs bigger than your pair" ensued....except they didn't wait to see if they even had a pair....big pre-flop raises on any two cards....but no pre-flop all-ins....but more often than not....somebody was all-in by the river....oy vey....I don't know if it was a good thing or not....but I just wasn't catching decent pocket cards....did win a couple more pots in lulls in the insanity....did flop two pair and hung with a raise....more pot building than pot pushing....rivered one of the ugliest "houses" I've ever  built....3's full of 4's....but it "stood" long enough for me to win my best pot of the day....short table....lots of blinds....ergo....40 minutes played....48 hands played....left with 2,475$ I hadn't brought with me....and another 1,700$ off 1/6 at the slots....&....both 16+ & 10K+ missions and of to Blackjack 21....
   Except for 2 hands....every other hand a pure shmattah ( 12 to 17)....and I never "hit" on a 12 to 17 unless it's a "soft" hand....had 4 "hit-able" hands....3 misses and the last hand I played 2 card 11....and doubled....and got a 10....besides that had 1 hand of 20....ergo....10 minutes played....12 hands played....5 wins....1 other 21....1 double....3 dealer busts....down 20$ (as/usual all bets 10$)

   On the early side of a normal start of play for the day....wind-chill is going to be in the minuses or single digits all day....so no walk for the MadTrollie....and off to Poker....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....and what do I find but a kamikaze and a dive bomber....check the stats on the kamikaze....the dude had played about 2K hands more than I have....okay....he was in and out....always the min 25K buy-in....the 16+ hands played banner came down....but decided to stay....was catching decent pocket cards....so he wins a few pots in a row....gets over 100K in this stack....and starts playing a style more or less like I do....????....just before I left...he dropped below 100K in his stack and again with the pre-flop all in routine....I guess the old adage "Different stokes for different folks" applies here....2nd or 3rd hand I played got a pair of Jakes....in the small blind....ran the "clock" down and decided to call....big blind called....flop had a pair of Nines....check...big blind goes all-in....called....now in for about 50K....and turned the 3 Jake....and a very nice pot....along the way built another "house"....and trips a couple of times....lost a few pots as well....looked up and hand played 25 minutes....ah....I'll play to 30 minutes....check the time had played 36 minutes....(guess I was just having to much fun)....ergo....40 minutes played....left with an extra 50K....and 57$....(no slots) off to Blackjack 21....
   An all to typical run of cards at the Blackjack 21 table....a 2/3 table with nary a "ghost" in sight....the usual shmattah with a decent hand or two...but with the all to common results....ergo....10 minutes played....16 hands played....6 wins....1 other 21....1 push....4 dealer busts....down 20$ (as/usual all bets 10$)

   On the early side of the normal start time....play will be a little less than/usual as I'm having lunch w/ my bro and his better half....they're headed to Florida this week for a month....both are retired school teachers....seems like everybody but me is "flying the coop" is winter....but I've never been much for travel....except that is to my morning trip to the tables....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....now normally on the weekend you'll get a table of maybe 7 or 8 other players....but this morning....a table that was never more than 4....and a few hands "head to head""....won a bunch of pots, but all either small or blind pots....but played a lot of hands in a very short period of time....and with the pace of play no time to every think about taking a few slot spins....and it seemed like I was always in the blinds....one of the other players had an "interesting" style of play....just a call on the blinds....and a series of checks....unless they "made" a hand....and then it was "all-in"....and most times they won the pot if called....and they did have the "big stick" at the table....never had a hand to call....so just watched the fireworks....ergo....14 minutes played....19 hands played....left with 2,487$ I hadn't brought with me....and off to Blackjack 21....
   First attempt the ghost table w/ the pair of ghosts....second table just a single ghost and 1 to 3 other "live" players besides me....my usual mix of the "good, the bad, and the shmattah"....got lucky on one hand....2 card 11....doubled....caught a 3....rats....dealer showing 5....busted....besides that nothing really happened....10 minutes played...17 hands played...8 wins....2 blackjacks....1 double....5 dealer busts....up 30$....as/usual all bets 10$....

   Normal start time and off to Poker....took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table and discovered we had a pot-builder "in the house".....pre-flop raise most hands but not quite every hand....now at one time I always clicked on all the players at a table's avatar....haven't done that for awhile....but clicked his....a 50 rank....w/2x the number of hands I've played....and played in over 1500 tournaments....ah tournament player....check....won a few small pots....but just before I left....had suited King/Jack in the hole....and flopped two pair....a tad of pot-building by a different player (a small stack)....after the river a nothing board save for the King/Jack....the pot builder went all-in....and I had him covered....now if I had been playing for real money....I probably would have folded....wasn't "pot committed"....but we ain't playing for the rent money here....so covered the bet....unfortunately for me....all 4 Kings were in play....1 had one, the board had one, and he had the other two....%$#@!!....but had completed both the 16+ hands played and 10+K cash mission ( on a few earlier pots)....and sometimes it's just the price you have to pay to play....have made the same kind of call before and won some big pots....just not today....anyways....&....ergo....19 minutes played....16 hands played....left 57,612 at the table....but as a small consolation prize....went 3/7 on slots....2 wins at 400/....&....1 win of 5,200....and off to Blackjack 21....

   Awoke just after mid-night this morning and took drops on Blackjack 21, Poker, & Video Poker Live....and off to play some Poker....

   Took a "chair" at a 1000/200 blind table....have decided that at least most mornings it's a better fit for my game ( not today but more later)....and besides just have had no luck getting on a 200/100 blind table anyways....and have quit trying....caught an above average number of decent pocket cards and won enough small pots to get complete the 10K+ mission....but one of those days when decent hole cards paired or should I say 2 paired with a nice flop....got rivered by a better two pair....and lost the other to a runner,runner (turn & river) flush....besides just to much pot pushing and "my pair is bigger than your pair" at  the table....which is okay with me if I'm catching....which I wasn't....ergo....14 minutes played....18 hands played....left 69,125$ at the table....it happens....on the flip side....4/6 on the slots for 1,900$....net down 67,225$ and off to Blackjack 21....

   My session at a Blackjack 21 table started out what has become IMNSHO too common....first two attempts found me at a "ghost" table...fled s/playing a hand....&....finally a table of 2 which varied for most of the session from 3 to 5 players....pretty typical run of cards for me....10 times I had "soft" or "hit-able" hands....with basically mediocre results....did make an other 21 once and a win on a doubled 20....both on 2 card 11's....but for the most part my usual collection of shmattah....but with not the usual results....off to the "tale of the tap"....25 minutes played....35 hands played....17 winners....2 blackjacks....1 other 21....1 double (a win)....1 push....&...(a dealer w/"bust-itis")....12 dealer busts....Up 30$....(dealer showed signs of recovery from the "bust-itis" so I left)....longest extended play for me in quite a spell....

   Once more into the breach dear friends (sorry Will S.)....+17*F....+10*F w/wind-chill....clear (Sun isn't up yet)....w/s/w winds at 9 mph....nice winter's day is in store....mid-20's F....and no new snow....
   Took a "chair" at what except for a brief visit by what I can only describe as a "school yard bully"....my kind of table....most hands a  table of 5....and with few exceptions....no pre-flop antics....and I was catching decent pocket cards by-in-large....and hit some flops as well....even a friendly "turn or two"....and I got to play my fav style of "small ball poker".....one weird thing tho....with few exceptions most of the players who came and went (very fluid table) came in with way under max buy-in (1000/500 blind table....max: 125K....min: 25K)....one side or the other of 50K....no idea why....but at one point the "bully" arrived....for a time none of the players at the table played his game and all he collected was the blinds....but as new players came some played his game....and I must admit he was catching some nice hands....but when his "playmates" left....those of us who were left wouldn't play....and he took his ball and went home....I was getting close to my predetermined (egad!!!...actually spelled predetermined right without help from spell check) time to exit....but I was thinking of extending when a pot pusher arrived....and I left....ergo....30 minutes played....won a bunch of pots....2,525$ taken from table....lots of small pots but lots of blinds....(no slots)....but a very enjoyable time at the table....and off to Blackjack 21....
   Pretty much "same old....same old" on the Blackjack 21 table....if I hadn't made a modest rally late I really would have got my tuckus handed to me....usual fare of shmattah....with a few decent hands....most right before I left....for a brief time I think the dealer was "confused".....I was getting its' hands and "It" was getting mine....but the weird thing was....for the entire time I played....same 3 players at  the table levels: 6, 7, & 8....(I'm the 6)....ergo....10 minutes played....18 hands played....5 wins....2 pushes....3 dealer busts....down 50$

   Quite typical start time....but....took my "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....and found myself in attending a gathering of "Kamikazes and Diver Bombers are Us"....now when I was playing at the 200/100 blind tables this was a common occurrence....but not common on the upper tables....(I've given up trying to get on a 200/100 blind table)....a bunch of minimum buy-in players (25K)....and a short table....so blinds come quickly....but I want that 16+ hands mission....so into the "bunker"....only call or check when in the blinds....after a couple of hands....in the blinds and a Queen/Nine suited in the pocket....no pre-flop raise....flop had two Ladies....check....an all-in by one of the kamikaze....and a what the heck call by the MadTrollie....and a nice pot....(Note to the kamikaze: if that's you gig....you must go all-in pre-flop....not after the flop....somebody may have made a hand)....a played with the all-in three time....all post flop all-ins....trips three time....eventually the K & DB kids left....and I had one of the  better tun of cards I've had in quite awhile....some small pots, a couple of blind pots....a few split pots....just a very enjoyable day at the tables....ergo....30 minutes played....44 hands played (short table and some very quick hands with all the all-ins)....took 67,062$ from the table....(no slots....pace of play way to fast to even try)....and off to Blackjack 21....
   Again a short table most hands two or three players....and 2 head to head....as good a run of cards I had at the Poker table....end abruptly when I "sat down" for Blackjack 21....save one any of the few decent  hands got beat by a very hot dealer....on the penultimate hand had a 2 card 11....dealer showing a 2....debated but decided to double....caught a Ten....for 21....and the only hand I won without a dealer bust....ergo....10 minutes played....15 hands....3 wins....2 pushes....1 other 21...1 double....down 50$....

   Have given up trying to get on a 200/100 blind table....so took a "chair" for some Poker at a 1000/500 blind table....there was some good news....actually was catching a few more decent pocket cards then lately....that's the good news....even caught a fair flop a time or two....except for one time i caught top pair....the other times bottom pair....never a chance at a straight or a flush....and the one time I had pocket Nines....missed the board completely....a crazy table of pre-flop raises....pot pushing....and a few rounds of "my pair is bigger than your pair".....just never caught a hand that I could "get in the game"....ergo....16 hands played....left 23,000 at the table....short table lots of blinds and I made more "calls" pre-flop then/usual....and off to Blackjack 21....
   On the 3rd attempt I found myself a Blackjack 21 table not "haunted by ghosts"....but a dealer that was on a hot streak....and my usual fare of shmattah....with the occasional decent hand....all to often beaten by a better hand from the dealer....Now I realize as I've said before that the money in this game ain't real....but sometimes I still scratch my old grey head....dealer showing 10....player two 5's....with a 5K bet....splits(?)....lost both halves....I just don't get it....7 hit-able hands (one was soft)....but most were "hits and misses"....or beaten by a better hand....truth be told never won a hand except on a dealer bust....and he didn't bust enough....IMNSHO.....of course I never think the dealer busts enough....ergo....11 minutes played....16 hands played....3 wins....2 pushes....3 dealer busts....down 60$....(as/usual 10$ bets)

   Start time right in the "butter zone" this morning.....+20*F....+10*F w/wind-chill....cloudy....winds 8 mph from the northeast....a nice winter day....but with snow and maybe some winter mix throw predicted for Tuesday through Friday....some errands are in order for the day....
   And a crazy day it's been so far at the tables....definitely a "Tale of two Tables".....First off to Poker....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....no consistent character.....from 3 to 6 players....constantly changing....and a bunch of pot pushing....the only consistent thing was I just wasn't catching many decent hands....really only had 3 decent hands....had a nice two pair....but got hurt on both the turn and the river and the other player made a straight....then there was the trip 3's that lost to a better kicker....and then the turn and the river betrayed my pocket 10's with another 10 in the flop to a turned and rivered flush....I know I will have days like this....but why today....oy vey....16 minutes played....18 hands....left 64,000$ at the table....I am comforted by the fact that it ain't real money, that I'll make it back in 3+ drops, and it's less the a tenth of one percent of my "Total Bank"....but I hate having sessions like that....and off to Blackjack 21....the way the day started I just hoped I would lose my tuckus....which has been a pretty normal occurrence at that game as of late....
   Took a "seat" at a table with few exceptions a table of 3 players....briefly 2 or 4 (no ghosts were seen)....and the usual run of cards....a whole lot of shmattah with a few bright moments of decent cards....only hand 2 hit-able hand (I never hit on a 12 or higher....regardless of what the dealer is showing)....and never  had a "soft" hand....but my "no bust" policy work for a change....the dealer had a very serious case of bust-itis....ergo....15 minutes played....25 hands played....13 winners....2 blackjacks....9 dealer busts....up 30$....had decided to extend past my usual 10 minute session....but at the 15 minute mark the dealer was getting "hot"....and I booked it....

   On the earlier side of the normal time this morning....but just a little....+15*F....+10*F w/wind-chill....winds 5 mph....from the W/S/W....
   And off for another day of online game playing ( and maybe a short walk later on what promises to be a calm day weather wise)....
   Took a "chair" to play some poker....1000/500 blind table....a "short table" never more than 6....and that was very brief....mostly 4 or 5 players....and at times as few as two....character of the table was in constant flux....when I took my "seat" high stack on the table had over 1 million chips....(wonder how long he had to play to accumulate that much)....a short end of session shoot  out and he was gone....a little bit of everything....no kamikaze....but some post-flop all-ins....and a few who would play "follow the leader".....a small stack arrived.....(minimum buy-in....25K).....type that has to prove he's the toughest kid on the block....now I'll "play" with that type normally.....but I have to catch a hand....and there in lies today's problem....didn't catch much....and when I did....no joy on the flop....did win enough small/blind pots to complete the 10K+ mission....but on a short table....you practically "live" in the "blinds".....ergo....31 minutes played....42 hands played...left 3,265 on the table and off to Blackjack 21....
   Took my "place" at again a rather short table with a bunch of comings and goings....1 hand of 4 but the rest of the time a 2/3 player table....some good hands....some average hands....and the usual selection of shmattah....only bright side was that the dealer wasn't having a great day....otherwise I'd been in for a beating....ergo....10 minutes played....17 hands....7 wins....1 other 21....2 pushes....6 dealer busts....&....0$....a flat footed tie....

   In the usual start time slot....how be it in the later part of it....+16*F....+1*F w/wind-chill....winds out of the west at 15 mph....partly cloudy....but a walk-able day none the  less....And off to another day of online games....
   Took a "chair" a a 1000/500 blind Poker table....didn't even try a 200/100 blind table....if I can't get a table during the week....why bother on the weekend....from the get go not a bad table....but in the time I played the character of the table changed many times....basically to many characters came and left....pot pushers, would be table captains, a rare sighting at a 1000/500 blind table of a kamikaze....and a "pot thief"....not much action....mixed board....and a big bet after the river....trying to "steal" the pot....watched for awhile....but if he had a hand he'd bet earlier....only when he didn't have a hand....he tried it with an all-in which I had covered....a nothing board except for an Ace....(Ace/King in my "pocket")....and a nice pot....but earlier in the session....the 16+ hands played banner came down....hadn't won a pot yet....and what few decent hole cards I had....missed the flop....was in the big blind....nothing....small blind....flopped to pair on a Jack/Nine in the hole....real nice pot and decided to extend....ergo....33 minutes played....38 hands played....left with 59.610$ that I didn't bring with me (no slots)....and off to Blackjack 21....
   First attempt at a table for some Blackjack 21....1 found myself at the "ghost table"....and despite the presence of a "live" player....left without playing a hand....took a "chair" at a table that varied from 3 to 5....had a bunch of hit-able hands....including 4 soft hands....couldn't "hit a lick"....but then neither could the dealer....ergo....11 minutes played....17 hands played....8 wins....1 blackjack....7 dealer busts....up 5$....( recently the number of players has been right around 60K +/-....but hadn't seen the number recently....saw it yesterday....players now only 28'K....????....)

    Up at the usual time, to many years of punching a  clock, so to speak....+38*F...."feels like" of +26*F....w/ w/s/w winds at 24 mph....cloudy now....but snow predicted for late morning....but the wins will continue through tomorrow....
   Have had an interesting day at the tables so far....Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind Poker table....and the table was a great table....at IMNSHO....ranged from as few as four players to at one point 8 players....I prefer tables in the 6 to 9 player range....less time playing from the blinds....so if I don't have decent hole cards....I can fold without paying the blind....what pre-flop raises there were they were usually only 2x the big blind....and very little pot pushing....just some reasonable pot building....a really great table....except for one minor difficulty....not as many decent hole cards as I would have liked....I know I can't get great cards every time....but they came few and far between....and the flop didn't like me very often....3rd hand I played 3/6 suited....on the button....only calls  ahead of me....and a hand I like....got in for the call....and the flop was kind....4 to a straight(3/4/5/6/)....a small raise....had to see the turn....call....and I "turned" 2....one of the other players ( a small stack) went in....based on the board....odds were with me....I called....very nice pot....and with the exception of a small pot and a split pot....that was it for winners....ergo....31 minutes played....26 hands played....up 49,200$....(no slots) and off to Blackjack 21....
   One of the more unusual run of cards I've had at Blackjack 21....had 6 soft hands....6 Aces and another card....but never a 10....made 21 twice....and all save one ended up nice hands....lost two 20's to blackjacks....dealer was hot....and besides those 6 hands....and 2 or 3 other hands....my usual collection of shmattah....ergo....11 minutes played....15 hands played....a very stable 3/4 player table....down 20$....

   Normal Start time....+23*F.....+15*F w/wind chill....winds 7 mph out of the N/N/E...cloudy.....what light ice we did pick up will be gone quickly....warming up into the 40's F....rain starting after dusk through tomorrow....and then changing to snow....with winds tomorrow in excess of 25 mph....so might as well hunker in my "bunker" and play some online games....I would if it was sunny and warm but it's my excuse  for the time being....
   A disappointing day....not with Blackjack 21....I'm never disappointed with that game....because I don't expect any thing but getting my head handed to me....nature of the game....but I am occasionally pleasantly surprised....But Poker is another "kettle of fish"....
   Took my "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....and really felt like playing an extended session....and for my sins got a table that resembled a bar fight from an "old western movie".....players at table from 3 to 8....and in almost constant flux....at one point one of the "gentle souls" hit me with a banana (one of the possible "gifts" you can give to another player)....I guess because I won't join in....after awhile....that group left and the newcomers played a style some what like  mine....one problem....never really caught a hand....a couple of small pots and a blind pot....I'm not disappointed about leaving 20,927$ behind ( -22,427$ at table, +1500$ for 3/10 at slots)....less than one "drop".....after all the "money ain't real".....and despite the "net loss:" the few pots I won gave me the 10K+ cash mission, and the 30 minutes & 30 hands played the 16+ hands mission....that wasn't the disappointment....I was disappointed because I really felt like playing and first the table and then not really catching anything was....but....%$#&* happens....and off to Blackjack 21....
   "Sat down" at a table that was in constant motion...anywhere from 2 to 4 players....and changing almost every hand....I know you don't play the other players....but it does change the pace and rhythm of the game....the usual shmattah with the occasional decent hand....10 minutes played....19 hands played....6 wins....2 blackjacks....2 pushes....2 dealer busts....down 40$....
   And barring the "zombie apocalypse", a power outage, or my desktop giving up the "ghost".....chances are I'll be back at it tomorrow.....

   In the typical morning start slot but towards the second half of it....winter mix/freezing rain predicted for just after noon....and the potential of a power outage....this maybe my only post today....and off to Poker....
   "Sat down" at the table ( 1000/200 blinds) from the abyss....not only did we have a table captain....but we had his executive officer and the chief of the boat/table....all big stakes....the "captain" had around 500'K....and acted like it was a private table....one hand without a big pre-flop raise....a blind pot....I had shmattah....did call the raise on the first hand I played....had suited connectors....and didn't really know the "lay of the "land" yet....missed the flop....never really caught a hand....ergo....21 minutes played....left 20,500 at the table....(no slots....I have accumulated 21 free spins....and today was probably a good time to use a bunch....just didn't)....and off to Blackjack 21....
   For the first time in awhile....no ghosts in sight....took a chair at a Blackjack 21 table....pretty typical as to  number of players....varied from 2 to 4....but most of the time 3....discovered another anomaly in the games math....if you win both halves of a split....it only counts as one hand....but the game gives you credit for 2 wins....not a big deal....but it does mess with a stats nerd like me....dealer showing 10....but split Aces.....got shmattah....dealer bust....2nd time dealer showing 4 and I decided to  split 2's....again the shmattah....and again a dealer bust....had a klutz and my only bust in ages....twice had 2 card 11's....dealer was showing first a 10, second an 8....did double....should have....won both hands....ergo....10 minutes played....14 hands played....10 wins....2 other 21's....2 splits....1 bust....4 dealer busts....up 50$....

    Normal start time this morning....+45*F...."feels like" of +39*F....and the forecast has changed again....no rain...."postponed" until tomorrow....so off to another day of online gaming....and as always....that means a first run at a Poker table....
   Took my "chair" at what turned out to be a table with an extremely aggressive player....and a "small stack" player as it turns out....(oops....1000/500 blind table)....around 50K in "her" stack when I took my chair....(but online you never know....avatar: female....name: female....but for years my avatar was a parrot with a yamaka wearing a pray shawl....and I was known as "The MadTrollie".....so you never know....said parrot can still be found wandering around on the left sidebar)....not every hand but most hands "she" raised....sometimes just a pot builder....and others a pot pushing raise....but I've got to say "she" was very good at it, or catching decent pockets....or just lucky....hard to say....but when I left "she" had built "her" stack to around 100'K+/-.....but in a few brief lulls....made a wheel on a hand with the way the play was won't have got to see it....Three/Five suited....in the big blind....no pre-flop raise....board gave me 3 to the straight...turn: the Four....river: the Ace....nary a raise....except my small  raise after the river....also won a small pot on the last hand I played....pocket Jacks....and a third on the flop....but not a table I wanted to stay at....ergo....13 minutes played....17 hands....up 1,290$ (no slots)....and off to Blackjack 21....
   And danged if I didn't "sit down" at the &^%$?? ghost table with the two corpses again....but one other live soul so stayed....and it remained that for the time I played....the usual mix of The Good, The Bad, & The Shmattah"....but the dealer had about the same....ergo....8 minutes played (other "live" player busted out....and being only 2 minutes short of my usual 10....didn't want to play "heads up"....and for 2 minutes just didn't bother to look for another table)....14 hands played....6 wins....1 blackjack....1 push.....3 dealer busts....up 5$....

   Pretty normal start time....+42*F....+39* "feels like".....cloudy....rain has stopped....and down to business....
   Took my "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....and thought I had either "walked" in on an "over the top battle royal or the rumble scene from "West Side Story"....absolute chaos....if there wasn't a pre-flop all-in....the usually was one some where in play....the occasional lull....but maybe the term "ceasefire" would be better....problem was it seemed that every  time I caught promising pocket cards....there was a "melee".....and when there was calm....you got it....the MadTrollie had shmattah....rats....did manage to win a blind and a small pot...and the 10K+ mission....but with all the comings and goings that are present at a table like that....as few as 2 and as many as 7....changing virtually every hand....too many blinds for me.....should have taken my missions and run....but hope springs eternal....and I kept looking for a great hand....and after 20 minutes decided it wasn't going to happen today....27 hands played....down 12,465$....and off to play so Blackjack 21....
   Five straight times I tried for a table...and got "placed" at a "ghost" table....and beat a haste retreat....the sixth time....same deal....but at least there were two actual players....so threw in the towel  and took a "chair"....for the majority of the time there were 3 playing at the table....briefly 2....and a couple of hands....just me and the dealer....just my all to typical fare of a few decent hands and the rest scraped from the stable floor....good grief....ergo....10 minutes played....15 hands ( by the game counter on the stats page, but the math says: 13 hands played)....6 wins....1 blackjack....4 dealer busts....down -5....Obviously not the session(s) I hoped for....but not as bad as some I've endured....and off to a day of surfing the net....and a whole bunch of solitaire....

   Maybe a tad  earlier than usual start time but just a little....after the cold and snow spell looks like we're in for a thaw....mid-30's by mid-day and rain....oy vey....what a crazy winter....
   Took a "chair" at a 1000/500 blind table....{again no joy at 200/100 blind....not really sure why I bother to try....I guess I'm just stubborn....and set in my ways}....and it turned out to be a very good table for the most part....lots of comings and goings....as many as 7 players but one hand was "heads up"....and everything in between....and almost no pre-flop nonsense....was getting mostly decent pocket cards....didn't hit a whole lot of flops....but played more hands then usually.....but as/usual....the turn and river were their usual pain in the tuchus....lost a high two pair to runner/runner trips....and another high two pair to a rivered flush (3 to the flush on the board)....all within the first few hands....decent pots....and I'm down about 30'K....a nothing board....I've got a pair of Kings (I pocket....1 board)....and danged if I didn't win a very nice pot...erased the losses and was up about 20K....except for a couple of blind pots...only hand I won....but got rivered a couple more times....just one of those days....however did manage to pickup both the 16+ and 10K+ missions....and an extra 9,700$....in 20 minutes and 19 hands....(no slots)....and off to Blackjack 21....
   First two attempts at taking my place at a Blackjack 21 table....found me at the ghost table....and then a table which was extremely fluid...2 to 4 players and seemed like it changed every other hand....and the best run of cards I've seen I quite a while....unfortunately the dealers....not mine....me....except for the rare decent hand....all either pushed or beat by a better hand....i got may usual collection of shmattah....please note the correlation between my wins and dealer busts....ergo....10 minutes played....17 hands played....4 wins....2 pushes....4 dealer busts....down 40$
