Again with the chance of a late drop last night....and again decided to pass on it....but it was waiting for me this morning....watched a ad. and picked up 42'K "house money".....again used the tactic described in yesterdays post....have tamed the password gremlin....or rather know how to avoid interruption while playing a live game....
The usual 1K/.5K table with the usual 125K max-buy-in....table varied from a couple hands head to head to as many as six....but the greater part of the session varied between a 3 to 5 handed game....but the table was in an almost constant state of flux....with most of the players playing just a few hands and then departing....more often than not with an all-in or huge pre-flop bet....
There seemed to always be at least a couple of any-two-carders or tournament style players so to see a flop for just a call of the blinds was rare indeed....but most of the time just a min-raise pre-flop....but the Ace and/or pair in the pocket usually caused a substantial pre-flop bump....
And for a change I was catching some nice hands at the right time....well except once....but later on that one....even caught a friendly turn or river card and won some 50/50 calls....well except once...and had built up a nice increase in my 125K buy-in.....
If I'm down or right around my buy-in in my stack I tend to play tight to ultra tight and avoid 50/50 calls....but when I'm up....then I will loosen up a little and take a shot at a 50/50 call....had been getting away with it for the entire session....well until I had pocket Threes and flopped the trips....there had been pre-flop and then continuation bets after every phase....3 to a straight came on the river and a decent size raise....if it had been an all-in I probably would have fold....but took a chance and lost to a straight....glances at the time....just over an hour....and decided as I was still up for the session, although modestly to take my leave....ergo....62 minutes played....94 hands played ....39.57 seconds/hand....22 winners....1 out of every 4.27....
