1/7.9 p/hpld_"Bank:" 769,028$_"Up:" +2,231$("FCs:" 2.5K$_"Tables(2):" -269$)_"Total Hands Played:" 9,829_"Folds(n/c):" 71%_10th "Level(n/c)"_Quality Hands Made:" 2 sets_4 straights(1 a split-pot) & 1 flush_[[notes:]..secs/hd is skewed..2 tables..sat-out a couple of times..game froze on the second table for at least a minute..on the other hand there were more "clock burners" on the second table "than I could shake my stick at"(link)]..../....[[From the Tables]..typical start to the day..out of bed..dealt with the usual off-line morning routine & logged on to the net..quick check-ins on my FB groups..had an alert that FB had a comment..I could see the comment but not the context..but can't mess with FB..removed & blocked the offending member..their ball & their ball field..logged on to play some poker..pocketed the awaiting 2.5K$ & looked for a "Duck Pond"..no table with a low average pot size but a set at a table with "A" present..sat-down..discovered three other players who were playing what we would of called back in the "guts" poker..so you bet that much well take this..just wild loose play..played{?) a couple of hands "A" left & 1 follow..took a chair at the only other open table.."A" arrived a hand or two later.."B" was already there(not sure Ii mentioned him afore)..by enlarge a decent table..the occasional short stay by a pot-pusher or a player inflicted with "pocket card syndrome" pre-flop splash of the pot with pair..an Ace or paint & the olde MadTrollie was not catching..got some very nice looks in the pocket & most times I'd miss the flop..I did win a few pots but all were of the small/blinds variety..also lost a few to rivered cards ..or to a 3-TO & the other hand the other two cards in the..finally..Ace/King suited..2 all-ins before me.. an in frustration..called..flopped a pair of Kings..yup..runner-runner hit another's two hole cards..busted ..did better on the 2nd-buy-in..broke about even but the damage was done..late got a visit from "Howie _Long"..have not guess one if it's the "real one" but..this one has a very bad case of "pocket card syndrome"..oy vey..'twas a bad day at the tables for the Mad-One..left texting a cu to "A" & a decent player I've not played with afore "L_L"..& staggered to the "lobby"....[07:18 UTC-4]..../....(dang..blogger is glitchy this AM..rats)..../....

(I tend to post sometimes several times a day.....rather then start a new post.....I just edit the existing post and tack on to it....I generally post for the last time during the day between 20:00 UTC-5 & 21:30 UTC-5)

Glossary of Terms Spades

A game: made up of several hands, collect 500 points and you win....you can also win regardless of you're score if your opponents score -200 points or more

Bags: if you as a team take more tricks then you bid, you get 1 bag for each trick over, collect 10 and you lose 100 points

Bid: before a hand is played, based on the cards you hold, now many tricks you can win

Hand: players play one card each high card in suit takes the hand unless a trump is played and then high trump wins the hand, 13 tricks per hand

Lay of the cards: how the cards are dealt on any given hand

Nil Bid: a bid of nil......your intent to not take a trick in a hand, +100 points if you succeed, -100 points if you take even 1 trick

Over bid hand: there are 13 tricks per hand.....if the bids total 14 or more....one team will go back...maybe both

Set: a team failures to make their bid, their lose 10 points for each bid example team total bid was 7, team took 6 or less tricks....you lose 70 points.....also referred to as "going in the hole" or "going back"

Suits: Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts

Trick: one round of play in a hand

Trump: in Spades, the spades are always trump, beats everything except a higher trump, can only be played if you don't have the suit lead..must be played if trump is lead.....trump can't be lead until a player trumps in....

Trumping In: playing a trump on a trick when you are out of that suit....but it's the players choice...unless trump is lead...

We/They: as in any partners card game one of the possible names for the 2 teams....I've seen "us" & "them".....and a few others i can't mention here

Glossary of Terms Solitaire

Auto-play: when the next series of moves is obvious, the game may automatically do them.{aka: auto-fill}....

Foundation: where you're trying to more the cards to.....move them all and you win

DECK: from which cards are turned over one at a time

Relaxed: a change in the rules from the standard game to make it play easier..varies from game to game..

Re-Set/Undo: both Just Solitaire and World of Solitaire games have both a re-set and an undo option....re-set takes the game back to the start....undo will remove one move at a time....both can be useful to try other options....

Tableau: where the cards to be moved start the hand
