Poker:[05:02]..logged on to play some poker..took the awaiting drop..watched the ad for the "miracle bracelet"..[well there is a sucker born every minute]..and picked up 44'K house money..[05:03]..no delay other than filling out my session work sheet..never denied being a stats nerd..and put my 125K-max-buy-in on the "felt" of a 1K/.5K table..a short table..a few hands "heads up" but never more than a five handed game..but the vast majority of the hands were either a three or four handed game..rarely any loose play..but there were always present the pot-pushers, any two carders, coffee breakers and pocket Ace or any two pair bets..and I flat wasn't catching..took me over 20 minutes to get my 10K+ mission completed..[four blind pots]..but then hit a bit of a hot streak..[around the 30 minute mark] in quick succession hit 2 full boats..trips [which I rivered for a change] and a flush..all just small decent pots..but was at least withing a few K of my buy-in..the hand before..three to a straight came on the flop..and the player to my right made an uncharacteristic 5K raise..[usually a 2K continuation bet..me thinks..he's flopped the straight]..folded a King/Nine suited..a bit of "My pairs bigger than Your's is"..another went all-in and the straight won the day..got thinking of that and got distracted..heard the sound cue that it was my turn to act..in the blinds..and committed the unpardonable sin..what a dummkopf..I hit call without looking..I had just covered a 30'K+ all-in..dang..did have an Ace/Jack unsuited in the pocket..but oy vey..well maybe it will workout thought I..yeah right..flop and turn a blank..raise after the turn..I wasn't going to make matters worse and folded..took a look at my stack..just a bit of the house money left..played one more hand..had Queen/Ten suited..looked at the clock..40 minutes played..and ran for the lobby..40 minutes played..
60 hands played..40 seconds/hand..9 winners..1 out of every 6+ hands played..1 senior moment..dang..left 38,800$ on the table..dang..[no slots[had used my spins yesterday..besides with the pace of play..no time anyways]..it really annoys me when a make a dummkopf stunt like that..I know I'm not perfect but..[the MadTrollie wanders off shaking his old grey head]..just now..another bracelet ad..another 44'K]
