Poker:[05:04]..off to play some poker..watched an add..at least this one was semi-relevant..for AARP..of which I was a member of briefly several years ago..never saw any real benefit and didn't renew..picked up "44'K house money"..after just a brief delay [off-line][05:06]..1K/.5K blind table with the /usual 125K max-buy-in..actually except for the wildly varying number of players..a decent table..entered to a table of four..including me..a couple of hands up..and briefly a seven handed game..the usual number of coffee breakers but for quite awhile there were two other players who were playing an extend session..some pot-pushing. a little pot splashing..a few Ace or any pocket pair bets..a couple of any-two-carders/continuation bets..but basically a decent table..one of the 2 other long-timers..was flat catching..something which regrettably I was not..well that isn't exactly true..but every time I did catch a good hand..somebody caught a better one..two pair Kings/Tens and two sets..fell to straights with only 3 to a straight on the board..but every time a reasonable bet..oh I did win a few pots..small/blind and one decent..and without a doubt probably stayed longer than I should have but was well withing the limits of my "house money"..and hope sprang eternal and the possibility of actually catching the right hand at the right time..on the button..last hand..river put four to a flush on the board..had the King in the pocket..a 17K bet before me..new player..no "read"..now the way the day was going should have assumed the worst and folded..quick glance..I could lose the bet and still be within the limits of my "house money"..if I had been staying probably would of folded..but decided to call..after all the only card that could bet me was a suited Ace..which of course he had..just one of those days..ergo..50 minutes played..66 hands played..45.5 seconds per hand..11 winners..1 out of every 6 hands played..left 41,750 on the table..[no slots]
