   Kind of a late start this morning....never started play on a 1000/500 blind table until 07:01....took a "chair' and plunked down my 125K max-buy-in....I'm not completely sure what I witnessed the first 3 hands....either a end of the "end of session death match" or the last gasp of a kamikaze raid....in any case the table of 5 soon was a table of 3....all new players....none of the former players survived....first hand had pocket Kings....and a quick fold after an all-in....just way too early to test the fates....but quickly new players arrived and the average table was about 4 or 5....pace of play was a tad slower this morning.....w/ a hand every 54.6 seconds....there were a couple of players who liked the idea of going all-in after the river....and a couple of "any-two-carders"....and a few rounds of "My pair is better than Your's"....but not a bad table.....besides except for the hand where I lost my trip Jacks to a rivered straight....the board was in general more kind to me than/usual....made two "nut flushes"....one on the turn....rivered the other....a couple of straights....flopped one of them....and a full house....and some miscellaneous blind/small pots....I was looking at a Jack/Six suited....in the big blind and got  to see the flop for a call....flop came Six/Six/Jack....but the "any-to-carder' bet 2K....smooth call....turned the 3rd Jack....again a raise this time 3'K....rivered a Ace....although with 5 cards it was a house. I'm looking at 2 three of a kinds w/ an Ace kicker....this time a 10K raise....thought about a re-raise....but seen him run and hide before....plus I wanted the table to see the hand....setup a possible bluff later....ergo....61 minutes played....67 hands played....11 winners....roughly 1 out of every 6 hands....would have liked a little better....but I not complaining....left with an extra 24'K + 200$ from a 1/5 go-round with the one-armed bandit....[09:35 UTC-4]....an interesting twist to the pre-drop ads....a late drop last night and the first 2 this morning....the ads have returned....but the twist....this one was for a local business....about a mile away from where I sit right now....dang....some-bot knows where I am....[hehe]....

   Just another typical start....as/usual 1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....and IMNSHO....a table straight out of one of the lowest levels  of the abyss....not every hand but more more often then not a pre-flop raise....and then a series of continuation bets....and a short table to boot....3 to 5 players....and an extremely aggressive one as well....so blinds came pretty quickly....a hand every 44 seconds....now my tactic on tables like this is to pick your spots....only call on good hands....and don't chase....but I got a fair number of good pocket cards....and "paid the piper" to see the flop....and rarely hit the flop....three or four times had 4 to a straight or flush....need to see the turn....never hit either a straight or flush....and a couple of times lost a high two pair to run/run straights or flushes....oy vey....only won 4 hands....and only one half way decent pot....oy vey....and this was a morning I really wanted to play an extended session....but about 30 minutes in just decided that to extend was a wasted effort on my part....ergo....31 minutes played....left 49,450$ on the table....but managed to leave with both 16+ & 10K+ missions in hand....really just not my day....[no slots]

   Just for the sake of trying decided to try to get on a 200/100 blind table....after the difficulties  awhile back with not getting on a table and moving my game up to a 1000/500 blind table....with my 25K max-buy-in in-hand....got right on....and it was a miniature of the table I just had left....and my luck....or lack of....there of....came along for the ride....the only hand I had decent pocket cards I caught....a Queen/Jack unsuited....a kamikaze was to my right....and with the way the day was going should of folded....but in a "what the hey" moment....called....[had him "covered"]....didn't hit squat....ergo....15 minutes play....a 3 to 5 table....18 hands played....[50 second hands]....and another 17,430 down the drain....good grief....first drop of the day....s/ads....may "visit" from time to time but the advantage of the 1000/500 blind table  is that even on a bad day at the table I still have a better than even money chance of achieving the 10K+ plus mission.....the game within the game....

   An interesting day at the tables....tried and failed 5 or 6 times to get on a 1000/500 blind table....but eventually did....so thought maybe heavy play when I finally got a "chair" was expecting a 6+ player table....and my arrival made it a table of 4 players....????....a few hands at a table  of 3....and a couple at 6 players....but on average a 4/5 table....and only the rare silliness....an occasional pre-flop raise....a bit of pot-pushing....but basically a table where I could play the style I prefer....mostly small ball poker....with the exception of a player with 10K+ hands played....and a couple around 2K hands played....the players were all under 300 hands played....and 2 came to the table with under 100 hands played....rooks....what happened to the second don't know....he was still at the table when I left....the other one was playing  pretty well....won some small pots....and was up a little from his 50K or so buy-in....lost one of the larger pots....either didn't see or ignored 4 to a straight or flush and took a big hit....at which point he started to chase....all-ins....got away with the first two when the rest of the table folded....and then he got caught and was gone....could I have won maybe two hands...nice pots....when the turn or river gave me a straight or flush....yup....but would I have lost the other dozen times when it didn't come....if the price is right I will on occasion pay to see a "miracle" card....but the price has to be right...preferably if the price is a "check"....thought about leaving a couple of times....and what I do quite often...."I'll play once more thru the blinds"....both times caught a hand in the blinds....or on the button....ergo....62 minutes played....81 hands played [that works out to about one hand every 45 seconds]....didn't win a whole lot of hands....about 1 out of every 8 hands played....but did manage to exit with 1,960$ I hadn't brung with me....plus another 400$....1/5 at slots....

   Up and off to play Poker....1000/500 blind table....max-buy-in....[125K]....a table that was basically a 3 to 5 player table for the duration....which this morning was short....first impressions....this just isn't a table suited for my style....after checking the other players stats....there were a couple of "tournament" players....now I've had good days on occasion playing with/against tournament players....but these were a breed apart....if they have good pocket cards....you can expect a pre-flop raise of around 2.5'x the big blind....but with this pair it was 4 to 5 times the big blind....not every hand...but the majority of hands....not only with a short table are you in the blinds a high percentage of the hands....but there are just some hole cards take you need to see a flop....so a call is called for....had pocket pairs 3 times and missed the flop....played 16 minutes before I made a hand....a straight....won a decent pot....saw the 10K+ banner....[already had the 16+ mission]....a couple of hands later did win a blind pot....now sometimes I'll stay....the thought of maybe catching the "nuts" and a big pot....but reality set in....just not my table....and I left....ergo....19 minutes played....21 hands played....left 24,100$ at the table....[no slots].....only a roulette spin so far....315'K....so don't know whether or not we'll see any  ads today....[12:05-UTC-4]....[....first three drops of the day....no ads....4th drop and an ad....????....]....

   I mentioned yesterday that I had a doctor's appointment this AM....so logged on as/usual....early....1000/500 blind table....125K max-buy-in....got both missions but decided with the appointment not to claim the 16+ mission and the 2x clock until I returned....just a 6 month routine checkup....but....you never know....got a clean bill of health....got back to the rooms and saw I was 36 minutes from a drop....decided to take the drop and then claim the mission....which I will probably do while in the process of writing this post....
   Got down early when my two pair got beat by a flopped straight....and  then started to catch some decent hands....,and a friendly board....at one point I had been down to less than 50K....had just got back to just over 100K when....a pot pushing....bully arrived....folded and watched a few hands....except for one time he wasn't making hands....just large bets to force others off they hands....after a few hands I looked down on Queen/Nine suited....in the small blind....the bully bets 3'K....but I wanted to see the flop so called....flop gave me another Queen and a Nine....a 10'K bet....and a call....3rd Queen arrives on the turn....another 10K....and another call....and then the river....[pause while I take a drop, and claim the 16+ mission]....and who should appear but the fourth Queen....call....raise....re-raise....you know the drill....and a very nice pot....table size varied form 3 players [a few hands "heads up"] to as many a 7....but average was 5 or less....with never a sighting of as kamikaze....just the usual "any-two-carders" and put pushers....and of course several games of "my pair is bigger that your pair"....ergo....41 minutes played....60 hands played....left with an extra 14,099$ I hadn't brung with me....and another 2'K from a 3/7 session with "Ye Olde One Arm Bandito"....
