[+48+F....fair....winds out of the e/n/e @ 6 mph....a mid-60's day on-tap]
   A tad later start for me this morning....logged on to the usual 1000/500 blind table with my /usual 125'K max-buy-in....caught 2 pair early....a small pot....and collected another very nice pot as the 16 hands mission made an  appearance....Ace in the hole and two more in the flop....and then....nadda....shmattah....zilch....butkis....it's about 30 minutes in and I'm getting close to my buy-in....oh I'll play once more through the blinds and leave....caught a flush....and stayed.....40 minutes....again through the blinds and gone....trip jacks....and then  started to catch hands no big pots but some decent ones....it that run....most pots were won with pairs & kicker or two pair....did split a pot with a full house....and almost forgot....a nice pot when I made quad Jacks....and made a wise fold of a "Michael Jackson".....big raise on the river....four to a flush on the board....smelled the odor of flush....and was correct....but the run stopped with the split pot and decided as I watched my stack shrink....time to fly....for most of the time a very short table and a very fluid table....all styles made an appearance.....2 different attacks of kamikaze....but note to those who choose that style....it's not a good idea to come to a 1000/500 blind table....with a max-125K-buy-in....and expect the table to play with you....four attempts....no takers....and he picked up the 4 sets of blinds and left....the other player picked her spots....and had a minimum buy-in....and did well....for awhile....and was eventually shown the door....several games of "My pairs bigger than Yours".....an "any-two-carder" here....an overly aggressive tournament style player there....ah the continuation bet....and the guy who tried to steal the pot with a raise after the river but hadn't raised the entire hand....guess he'd never played with a gimpy,grump,old slow-play trapper before....[pause....took a drop....watched an ad trying to sell me a diamond pendant and collected 42'K]....ergo....91 minutes played....123 hands played....44.3 sec/hand....16 winners....1 every 7.7 hands.....left with an extra 5,925$....but enjoyed the session.....played some good poker....and wasn't a dummkopf....no dumb calls....

   A pretty typical weekend day at "ye old Poker table"....1000/500 blind table w/ my 125K buy-in....and all of the usual cast of characters made an appearance.....kamikazes and dive bombers did show up....but thankfully only occasionally....several games of "my pair is  bigger than yours'"....a long....way to long visit by a couple of "any-two-carders"....and a brief "drive-by" by a super aggressive "tournament player....even a rare sighting of a new-bee....less than 100 hands played....maybe it was the time I played [logged on at 06:16] but a short table for the weekend....most hands 4 or 5 players....and the pace of play was 48 seconds/hand....I won a fair amount of pots....1 win for every 8 hands played....a mite low but that wasn't the problem....or rather wasn't the problem[s]....except for one decent size pot....all were blind/small pots....did win a decent pot when the flop tripped my pocket Queens....but had other pocket pairs....but the only other this I made trips....lost to a runner-runner straight....lost a couple of other pots....decent pots....to rivered hands....and had several hands where I called a raise to see the flop [I did say there were "any-two-carders" present].....only to either miss the flop entirely or catch bottom pair....but did come up with a new name for a hand...."The Michael Jackson"....had a Jack/Five in the hole....and flopped two pair....Jacks[o]"n" Five[s].....yeah I know....phew!!!!....but remember I'm old and grey and remember him as a kid being the lead singer for that group....[a brief pause while I run off to take a drop]....ergo....84 minutes played....104 hands played....14 winners....left 54,129 on the table....2/5 and 700$ won on slots....3 drops so far....1 last night and 2 this morning....all@42'K w/ads....

   "It's a grey and stormy day" "so guess I'll go and play".....Poker/Solitaire....off to  a 1000/500 blind table w/ my 125K max-buy-in....and what I "sat down" at was a table in search of an identity....you'd just get a handle on the style of the other players and then they'd be gone....and a new style would emerge....I've been on fluid tables before....but this one lent new meaning to the word fluid....and at one time or another....all the usual suspects made an appearance....kamikaze, dive bombers, any-two cards, experienced tournament players to play an extremely aggressive style....several games of "My pair is bigger than Yours"....no real Table Captain but a want-to-be.....new player....50K+/- buy-in....pre-flop raise....a larger raise post-flop....and all-in after the turn....got away with it for maybe 4 or 5 hands and then was show the door....only to pop right back in....and repeated the cycle....table basically average 4 players....a few hands with 5 or 6....and a few hands of 3 or "heads up".....pace of ply while not quite as fast as I've seen....was fast....Did I won a bunch of pots....yup....but except for a couple....all small/blind pots....even when I'd throw out a "feeler bet".....just to test the "waters"....only get a  call....was I in a couple of good size pots....yup....did I win any....nope....did I get rivered or beat by a runner-runner....that's an affirmative....just one of those days....flopped four to a Queen high straight....made the straight on the turn....river paired with the turn card....lost to a house....[the MadTrollie just shakes his old grey head and mutters some nasty words]....ergo....93 minutes played....132 hands played....42.3 sec./hand....21 winners....1 out of every 6+.....but the losses + blinds told the tale....left 37,448$ on the table....left with 800$  from a 2/5 wins at the slots....first 2 drops of the day@21'K s/ads.

   Basically a cool, damp day with heavy cloud cover....a good excuse to play some Poker....not that I needed one....but it's my story and I'm sticking to it....took a few tries to get on a 1000/500 blind table with my max-buy-in of 125'K....what I found was a table of four with one of the players having a stack of chips in front of him that was approaching 1 million....thought I'd might be in for a wild ride but was wrong....I grossly underestimated the situation....for most of the trip I felt like I was in one of those amusement park rides where they strap you in and most of the ride your upside-down or sideways....the afore mentioned player was certainly feeling his "oats"....and periodically was throwing out huge pre-flop bets....and this lasted for an about 30 minutes....until he took his then 1 million+ chips and left....during his stay....twice lost large pots, once when my high two pair got "tripped" on the river and the other when the turn and the river conspired to "trip up" another nice two pair....so I was down a bundle at that point....then it "settled down" to a table of 4 or 5.....some pre-flop nonsense but only up to maybe 5'K....and managed to win a few blind/small/and even a decent pot or two....finally got my "nose above water" looked at the clock....60 minutes played....time to flee....ergo....60 minutes played....97 hands played.....yes 97 hands played....a hand every 37.1 seconds.....13 winners....1 every 7.5 hands....but because all of those winners save one were in the last 30 minutes played did get my share and maybe a bit more....escaped with an extra 1,700$....and my sanity {such as it is].....had a roulette spin waiting hit for 63'K....oh well....and took the first drop of the day just before writing this post....42'K w/ad....for tactical pants....

[+42*F...."feels like" 38*F.....light rain....east winds @7 mph....scattered showers predicted for the daylight hours today]
   "Sat down" at a 1000/500 blind table with my 125 max-buy-in @06:05....really can't say much about the number of players at the table or the player types....other than there was a "Table Captain" [500K+ stack]....a real bully....and never played a hand....but said bully left after about 18 minutes and then the table settled into a pretty typical table as of late....an "any-two-carder" here....some pre-flop nonsense....there....and over in the corner two players arguing over who has the bigger pair....[aka: raise/re-raise] I played with them one time....of course I cheated....I had pocket Tens and flopped the third one.....wasn't in that many pots....but 5 really nice ones....the bad news first....lost my Ace high straight to a rivered "house" and got beat at my own game....I fell prey to a fellow "trapper".....I had pocket Fives and flopped the third....there was also an Ace in the flop....and the guy on my left....had just "sat down"....slow played his pocket Aces....can't be too upset when you get beat at your own game....but other than the trip Tens mentioned above won two decent pots on Ace high and a Jack high straights....but other than the 3 wins just mentioned only won 3 other pots....and small/blind pots they were....for the post part a table of 4 to six players....and changing almost every hand....but not a single raid by a kamikaze....all things considered not a bad table....well after the bully left anyways....didn't catch a whole lot of good hands....but just enough so that what I left with was a bit heavier that what I brought....ergo....60 minutes played....[speaking of play....Madtrollie runs off to take an impending drop][pause][2nd drop of the day@42'K w/ad....first one was@21'K s/ad....????....]....68 hands played....53 sec/had....only 6 wins out of the 68 hands played or 1 out of every 11.3 hands....not to good....however....the right hand[s] at the right time[s]....&....took an extra 4.450 I hadn't had at the start of the day....
