[[From the Tables]..as/always..grab the awaiting "house money" & dive into a "Duck Pond"..just your typical crazy table..except for no sightings of kamikaze all the /usual perps were there..any-two-card-ers..pot-pushers..pocket splashes of the pre-flop pot & what would a session be without a couple of rounds of "My pairs bigger than Yours' is"..for the old Trollie's it was "Feast or Famine"..in general I just wasn't catching & when I did catch a decent hand & avoid being turned or rivered..the results were a small/blinds pot..except today on three notable occasions..was down about 50 chips..Ace/Eight in clubs ..flopped an Ace & 2 more clubs..pusher pushes(10$)..I called & one other call..turn was a blank.. 25$ hits the pot..just my call..thought I had the best hand & looking for another club..river..got my my 5th club..pusher puts me all-in..no board pair..a snap call..& a feast..a few hands later..flopped top 2 pair ..slow played another pusher..they were at the table in droves..2-pair held up & a decent pot & now for something completely different..had a Three/Two suited in diamonds..not a hand I'd play most times but I was up at the time & got to see the flop for a call of the "big"(in the small"..I'd like to know what the odds are for what came next..flop was a set of Deuces..a small/blind pot but as I was informed I had gained the achievement "The Mighty Ducks"..hour had past..I'm on the button..sit-out next hand all ready checked..Nine/Two..got in for a call of the "big"..flopped a set of nine..another hand slow played..another decent pot & I grabbed the money & ran..../....

[[From the Tables]..as/always..grabbed the awaiting "Free Chips"(aka:"house money" & dove into a "Duck Pond"..number of players on any given hands ranged from a couple of hands "heads up" to a six handed game & except for a few hands during a period when peeps were coming & going there were a few "friendly" played..otherwise aggressive play reigned..several any-to-cards..usual a 2$ pre-flop bump..but they by-enlarge were predictable..if they only raise another 2$ after the flop their were "chasing"..more than 2$..they'd hit the flop..a couple of very aggressive pot-pushers as well..& what would a session be without big splashes of the pre-flop pot when a peep had an Ace..any pair..or paint..several bouts of "My pair is bigger than Yours' is" one was four handed & of course the pre-fold all-ins by a player on "full tilt" after losing the last big pot..just crazy..insane..loose play..2 dudes both all-in.a 4-TO a flush on the board..yup..one made the flush..the other..had a small pair..[the Trollie shakes his old grey head]..did I leave a Quarter on the table..yup..(played a lot of nickel/dime/quarter in college in the 60s)..but probably played the best poker I've played in  awhile..never made a bad call..did fold a turned set of Sevens..there had been some reasonable pushing of the pot..after the river "heads up"..the other dude went all-in..re-cently arrival.."no read"..three to a flush & 2 over cards on the board..would have called a reasonable bump..he went all-in & had me covered..decided just not worth-it..of the six winners..a straight..2 sets & the other 3 were with 2-pair howbeit one was a split pot..just wasn't catching & the raises were just to big for me to call to "chase" a card..I play poker..not lotto..got to the "button"..folded rags & departed..../....

[[From the Tables]..as/always..log-on..grab the awaiting "house money" & dove into a "Duck Pond"..be-fore the flop there were usually five or six players at the table..after the flop any where from a five handed game down to two players..or the hand was already over..very few friendly hands..we had pot-pushers..any-two-cards & pre-flop splashes when a player had a singleton Ace..any pair or paint..most notable of the latter was a visit from "Howie_Long"..whether the "real" or an ersatz..??..doesn't matter..if he's got as above..he's all-in pre-flop & more often than not he prevails..as you can surmise from 1 pot for every 9.75 hands played..I flat wasn't catching..I lost count on how many 4-TOs I had..never made a flush & had a few up-ender straight draw's..nope & got rivered a couple of times to boot..towards the end of the session old "HL" went all-in pre-flop & got a call from the then resident pot-pusher.."HL" prevailed ..pusher down to 90 chips..the predictable "full tilt" all-in..IIRC..I'm down to 130 chips +/- & looking at a King/Five suited..decided what the hey..called..board paired & my Cowboy was hi-kicker..dang..just another session where I just wasn't catching..& with the exception of the all-in pot..all the pots I did win were of the small/blinds variety..just wasn't making quality hands & the 2 times I did..no significant chips in the pot..well..tomorrow is another day..as/is my custom..left from the "button" & dragged myself to the "lobby"..../....

[[From the Tables]:..as/always..grabbed the awaiting "house money" & dove into a "Duck Pond"..2 empty chairs but before I played my first hand it was a six handed game..for the first 30 minutes or so play was dominated by pot-pushers & any-two-carders..pre-flop splashes of the pot were common & more pushing thereafter..tried to stay out of the way unless I had very good looks in the pocket..but there were some smallish pots to be won as well..early on I was in the "big"..Ace/Six unsuited..call a 2$ bump..flop was a pair of Bullets & an Eight..a pusher made a 10$ raise..though if he's got an Ace I'm probably out kicked.. but call..turn a King.same..same raise..same call..river a Jack..now 20$..why not..probably a split pot.. nope..he'd flopped 2 pair..& a decent pot..I played very good poker all night..except..turned an Ace high straight..but turn put 3 to a flush..lady to my right raises..convinced myself the straight was good..call-ed..to my left..call..river paired the board..another raise..I called..yup lost to a turned flush..which in-turn lost to a rivered full boat..dummkopf..lost what I had gained plus more..dang..but thought I..one good hand & I can make it back..however within a few hands what had been a aggressive/loose play table morphed in to a three to four handed friendly game..only a couple of pots bigger than small/blinds..got a little back but not all..& left a few chips on the table that I had brung with me..dang..anyways..got to the button..folded rags & left..[[aside]..while I was checking my stats & checked my "Total Hands Played" my first thought was..dang,,I flopped Quads]..../....

[[From the Tables]..ah..another weekend session..oy vey..grabbed the awaiting "house money" & dove in to the only available seat on a "Duck Pond"..sat-down..full table..2 players sitting out..??..only took 3 hands for me to figure out why..2 school-yard bullies throwing chips at each other..no empty chairs..sat at an empty table briefly..no players came..3rd table..2 empty chairs took one & before I played a hand the table was full..for the first few minutes..a friendly table..a pre-flop raise or two..maybe some small raise continuation bets..decent table..won 4 small/blinds pots with a pair(2x)..a straight & full boat..& than came the mega-pot pushers & peeps that would play along..dang..about 10 minutes into the session.. pocket Nine/Eight unsuited..on the "button" called the "big" & with great surprise got to see the flop.. flopped the Nine high straight & than the pushing began..as to my slow play/trapping style..just called.. river gave me a Ten high..but put 3 to a flush on the board..now three handed..called another raise.. river..oy vey..a 4-TO the flush..last to act & to my relief..no raises..(exhale) & a very nice pot & for the next 40+/- minutes..only "saw" a hand full of flops..I even fold pocket Cowboys once..I was on the "button" & didn't want to play in a 4-handed game..(would have lost)..late in the session..a brief calm ensued..won a smallish pot with a straight & again a mega-pot pusher..was in the "small" looking at pocket Eights..(click:sit-out next hand)..no raises..saw the flop for a call..2 Ladies & a Trey..check..turn another Lady..check..river a Five..another check & blind pot..got to the "button" & was gone..I'd survived another weekend session & left with more chips than I had brung with me..../....
