[[Form the Tables]:..I've been playing poker since I entered college & that was 55 years ago this fall..dorm penny ante to fairly high stacks "kitchen games" & a few "free online" games & this ranks categorically as the weirdest session yet..the session started normally..log-on..grab the "house money" & find a "Duck Pond"..play varied from a few three or four in a hand but mostly was a five or six handed game..no true kamikazes but play was extremely aggressive at times..with many hands ending up in a "My pairs bigger than Yours' is" raise/re-raise skirmish & more "clock burners" than "your could shake a stick at" & I played the role of "King Folds-a-Lot"..played about 20 minutes before I caught a hand.. flop-ped a set of Kings & lost a decent pot to a kicker..oy vey..except for a couple of 2-pairs which I folded to a big raise when there was either a 4 to a flush or straight on the board just flat wasn't catching..a few hands after the "beat" flopped trip Sixes..had 80 some odd chips left..another "Over the top Battle Royale" ensued..a four a-way & me all-in..the Sixes prevailed..& at that point I had over 310 chips..which slowly dwindled..again either folded rags to a pre-flop raise..missed the flop..or got a small piece of it & got pushed out by a big-raise..was in the "big"..I hand flopped two pair but their were part of a three to a straight on the board..big raise..fold..(a straight won the pot)..in the small with rags..still a couple chips in the stack I hadn't brung with me..clicked "sit-out next hand" & left from the "button" loose play reigned..I lost count on how many times there were 4 to a straight or flush on the board when a 3 or 4 player raise/re-raise battle ensued..a straight or flush won all the pots & only one was a split pot..why do peeps bet in to a four to & don't have it..??..../....

[[From the Tables]..I'm sitting here just shaking my old grey head..weird day..as/always logged on play some poker..a morning ritual..grabbed the 2.5K$ "house money" & went lookin' for a "Duck Pond" to dive into..play varied from a couple of hands "heads up" to a full table..but most hands were played with three to five players..reasonable pace of play..although there was some pot-pushing from time to time most of it was min or small raises..there were a couple of pre-flop all-ins when a dude was on "full tilt" after losing a big hand & some splashing of the pre-flop pot when a player had a pocket singleton Ace..pair or con-nectors..but it was essentially a friendly table & only very aggressive in spots..had been "at table" with several of the other players..ergo..had a basic "read" on them..didn't help..did I make some nice hands. .yup..3 sets..1 straight(a split-pot)..a King high flush & 2 full-boats..Threes full of Sixes & Sevens full of Tens(which I flopped)..but none produced more than a smallish pot..did I ever lose a hand with signif-icant chips in the pot..nope..just didn't catch enough hands..over the first few hands had won pots with 2 sets..Sevens/Tens full & split a pot with the straight & after that only occasionally hit the flop for more than bottom pair or completely missed it..did flop some 4 to a straight or flush but except for the above mention 2 missed the others..just flat wasn't catching..got some decent looks in the pocket..just a very uncooperative board..played past the hour with the faint hope of finally catching the right hand at the right time..nope..played to the button..check "sit out next hand"..folded another set of rags & left..../....

[[From the Tables]..the /usual..grab the "house money" & find a "Duck Pond" to "swim in"..table#1..two big stacks "throwing bombs" at each..stayed out of the way..did call one 5$ pre-flop raise with pocket Ladies..missed the flop & decided to not call a raise that would put me all-in...left...table#2..sat at an empty table..won a couple of small/blinds pots before the kamikaze arrived..left..table#3..in general mostly friendly play..a little any-two-carding but only min-raises & continuation bets..a small splash pre-flop here & there when a peep had a pocket pair or Ace..but by-enlarge a decent table..I just wasn't catching..I had pocket pairs 5 or 6 times & never made trips with them..also flopped 4 to a straight or flush a bunch of times..only made 1 straight..just in the few hands before I left did win a blinds pot with a set when the board paired & I had the third in the hole..just before I left made a King high straight & won the only halfway decent pot of the day..next hand on the "button" had all ready clicked "sit-out next hand" & called a pre-flop min-raise with pocket Queens..missed the flop..turn put 4 to a straight & flush on the board..a big raise was all I needed to see..I folded & left..[[aside]: I've played on a few other free live poker sites & really like the "sit-out feature" here..lets you "catch you breath" as it were..or deal with an off-line issue without having to leave the table]..one thing all the free online poker games I've play have in common is "weekend madness"..after yesterday's disaster I've decided to not stay & play..just leave & find another table & do my best to limit the damage..../....

[[From the Tables]:..I'm sitting here shaking my old grey head..it was just one of those days or rather one of those tables..wildly aggressive play was the name of the game & if I had a brain left in my head I would have left after observing the first few hands but there again I've done well at time on tables like this one..we had at the table a major league pot-pusher..now he did bust out a couple of times..come back & within a few hands be high stack again..he had the nasty habit of being beat after the flop & catching the right card on the turn or river..unfortunately my day was polar opposite..if I missed the flop & decided to fold the turn or river was the card I needed..if I call..yup..never came..not to say I didn't win some pots.. but there was never any significant chips on the table..I've said before it's about catching the right hand at the right time..but today at least for me it was catching a nice hand at absolutely the worst possible time..oy vey..but than I'm reminded.."It ain't the rent money"..../....

[[From the Tables]:..the /usual deal..grabbed the "house money" & dove into to the first open "Duck Pond"..played varied from a three handed game up to & includes hands with six players..but a very fluid table..peeps were popping in..playing a few hands & the next think you knew someone else was sitting in that chair..except for a couple which I've been at table before..was hard to get a "read" on anyone.. except for a couple of pot-pushers early on & briefly an any-two-carder..play was pretty friendly with the occasional pre-flop bet when a dude had an Ace or any pair in the hole..& some splashes of the pot after the river card was dealt..with in the first few hands I had take two nasty beats..had Anna Kounikova in the pocket & flopped Her twin..river put three to a straight on the board..& right after that lost a high two pair to rivered trips..was down to about 175 chips..pocket Ace/two Suited..flopped an Ace & a Two..pusher puts me all-in..played enough hands with him that my "read" was bluff..called..did he have suited con-nectors..yup..had he hit the flop..nope..did he get runner-runner..nope..he played the next hand & was gone & except for a couple of dudes who entered with a 400$ buy-in..I was high stack the rest of the way..never caught a hand with any significant chips on the table nor lost a hand with more the a few in the pot..the three quality hands I made were a wheel I made soon after the big win..& later back-to-back hut flushes..just a very typical ho-hum day of poker with one right hand & the right time..the hour had past..got to the "button"..checked "sit out next hand"..folded rags..& left..not a great day but any day when you leave with more chips that you'd brung with you ain't a bad day..../....
