Poker:[05:18]:..logged on and picked up the awaiting drop(w/ad.) for "44K house money..[the usual side trips to run time of the "drop clock"]:[05:18]:..four tables..as/usual all were of the 1K/.5K blinds variety..and as I always do placed the table max-buy-in on the "felt"..in this case 125K..I see no point in coming to a take with less than the max..puts you at a disadvantage..besides it's not like I can't afford it..except for a true kamikaze all the usual cast of characters made an appearance..which is not to say there weren't any pre-flops all-ins..but they were either on the old pocket Ace/any pair or paint bet or when a player had lost a big pot on the last hand and went on "full tilt"..your typical any two carders...pot-pushers..continuation bettors & of course quite a few bouts of "My pairs bigger than Yours' is....Tables 1/2&4 can be summed up as one..table one..1 pot [the first hand] out of 12 played..table three..12 hands played..no pots won..table 4..2 pots won [one on a straight] out of 18 hands played..that's 3 pots out of 42 hands played..or 1 out of every 14 hands played..I doubt I could have caught a clod if I had tried..and i wasn't that a had some nice looks in the pocket from time to time just couldn't hit the flop..and when I did the turn/river were no help..exited all three tables at the whim of "The Grim Reaper"..second table..within the first couple of hands..pocket Ace/King unsuited and for once old Anna Kournikova didn't let me down..flopped four to the Ace high straight..[Queen/Ten]..and turned the Jack..a smallish pot..a couple hands later..in the big blind w/Seven/Two unsuited..a had I'd never play unless in the big blind and could see the flop for a check..which I did..yup flopped the two pair..and before the "Reaper" got me again..won pots w/a high pair/2 pair & another straight..and had erased the losses from the first table and was marginally a head..If the "Reaper" hadn't dragged me off kicking and screaming I'd probably still be at that second table..ergo..:[stats]:..40 minutes played..102 minutes off the "drop clock"..57 hands played..8 pots won..1 for every 7.14 hands played..left -25,050$ on the tables..[no slots]..considering the fact that I except for the second table just wasn't catching did a pretty good job of limiting the "damage"....[edited:19:08]
