Poker:[04:57]..logged on to play some poker..picked up the awaiting drop..22'K..if every thing goes as planned I can get 7 drops + 1 roulette spin today..ergo..a day of ultra-tight play and pick my spots..I did the math last night..and if I can average just over 90 hands a day I can hit 50K+ hands by the end of the year so that is one of the things that "drive" my play in general and this session in particular..[05:11]..after several failed attempts and a few side-trips online finally got to put my 125K-max-buy-in on the felt of a 1K/.5K table..and took my "chair" at a short table..a four handed game..with few exceptions it remained so for the entire session..and for the greater majority of the time..it was the same four players..some brief stays by a couple of "coffee break" players..but they were never really a factor..the play was controlled by two nth* pot-pushers/splashers/want-to-be kamikazes..[the other three players as well as myself all were 125K max-buy-in players]..the 4th players picked his spots and held his own..but the other two..if one or the other wasn't all-in pre-flop..there was a large pre-flop raise and call or sometimes a raise..and most hands ended in at least those two and occasionally the 3rd guy all-in..loser would bust out..pop right back in [blasted auto-re-buy]..and most times go all-in pre-flop..very rarely there were some hands you could get in for a check/call of the big blind but they were rare indeed..even a blind pot or 2 [well actually I won 3 blind pots]..I made a Queen high flush and a decent pot enough to give me the 10K+ mission..but for the most part the "wolves" kept the blind raccoon hiding under my "chair"..with all of the busting and auto-re-buying..plus the fact that it was the same four players for an extended period..there was a lot of chips on the table..1'M+ pots were common..just never caught the right hand at the right time were I was willing to go all-in or nearly so to take a shot..normally I would have "throwing the towel"[link] earlier..but had that 90+ hands per day in the back of my mind and stuck it out..also the chance that I might just catch the right hand at the right time..didn't happen..ergo..65 minutes played..101 hands played..38.6 seconds/hand..4 winners..1 out of every 25+ hands played..left 42,900$ on the table..[no slots..only had 3 free-bees and with the pace of played won't have had time to play anyways]..[have a second drop in a few minutes and even if it is another single will have the loss "covered"]..
