[Yesterday's Sims&Solitaire Results]<[24/7 Games.com]>..Spades: four games played consisting of a total of 42 hands played..[1] twelve hands played:"we" 533 pts. + 23 bags [-200 pts.]:[vs]:"they" 253 pts. + 3 bags + set five times + 2 made nil bids..[once partner bid 1 & made 4..& bid 2 and made 6..??]..[2] eight hands played:"we" 516 pts. + 6 bags:[vs]:"they" 371 pts. + 11 bags [-100 pts.] + 1 made nil bid..[3] nine hands played:"we" 547 pts. + 7 bags + set once + 1 made nil bid:[vs]:"they" 485 pts. + 5 bags..[games 2 & 3 are the games I love to play..tight games..little "blood" on the card]..and then..[4] 13 hands played:"we" 576 pts. + 16 bags [-100 pts.] + set twice + 2 made & 1 failed nil bid:[vs]:"they" 301 pts. + 11 bags [-100 pts.] + set thrice..[6th hand.."we" were position to "go out"..partner bid "nil" and failed + "we" bagged..7th hand..partner bid 5 & made 0.."we" set..8th hand..partner failed to make its' share of the bid.."we" set..oy vey]....<[Just Solitaire]>..Crescent: three games played..[1] 84/104 w/3 of the 8 foundation piles complete..[2] 80/104 w/2 of the 8 foundation piles complete..[3] 104/104 w/all of the 8 foundation piles complete..before the last shuffle....<[World of Solitaire]>..Aces Up[relaxed]: failed to clear any of the three games played[best:[42/48]:]..Eight Off[relaxed]: cleared all of the three games played[52/52]..3rd game required 1 re-set & many un-dos..in:[04:15]..Fan[relaxed]: cleared all of the three games played[52/52]..Fort[relaxed]: only cleared one of the three games played[104/104]..Josephine[relaxed]: cleared all of the three games played[104/104]..one game was cleared on the 1st of the 2 allowable turns thru the deck..Klondike[turn 1]: only cleared one of the three games played[52/52]..Seahaven Towers[relaxed]: cleared all of the three games played[52/52]..one game was cleared in:[01:57]w/87 moves..Tri-Peaks[hidden]: only cleared two of the three games played[52/52]....[still have no idea how I managed to lose yesterday's post but two games deserve note..ergo..[Yesterday's Live Game(s) Results]<[Facebook]>..Blackjack-21: made one of my infrequent visits to a table..I've discovered the secret of a good session..find a table were the dealer has a case of "bust-itis"...10 hands played@100$/hand..7 wins/2 loses/1 push..no blackjacks but one 3 card 21..dealer bust 5 times..up 500$.."Current Bank" now stands @1,104.1'K$....Poker: had played poker earlier decent session..left the tables with an extra 5,725$ I hadn't brung with me..went back just after 15:00 to pickup a drop and game won't load..check back a few times and was still down when I called it a night....

*[10:42 UTC-4]*[Today's Live Game(s) Results]:<[Facebook]>..Poker: as/of:[10:30 UTC-4}: the game is still down..but unlike the other day..both of the "live games" I access thru FB are up..ergo..there is apparently a problem with the game..lets hope this time they send "The Reaper" to his final rest....Blackjack 21: now where near the session of yesterday but could have been worse..dealer busted 3 out of the last 5 hands and I escaped with 4 wins/4 loses/2 pushes..only hand of note..had a 2-card 20..dealer showing Ace..give you three guess and the first two don't count.."Current Bank" stands@1,105,800$....Video Poker Live: again a run for the 2x modifier..another less than favorable..10 hands@50K chips/hand..didn't make a quality hand..and only one 2-pair..a a couple of pair..but with the 2x modifier will make that up and more with future bonuses.."Current Bank" stands@64,865'M chips..25th level....[11:25 UTC-4]....[From the Tables]:..Poker: is still down..??..but I was able to concentrate on both Blackjack 21&Video Poker Live: managed a combination of 10 drops/roulette spins on the former & 11 runs thru the bonuses on the later..hopefully Poker: will be up and running tomorrow....[20:32 UTC-4]....

(This is just commentary on my journeys around online gaming, truth be told with few exceptions I play mostly solitaire games.....the two notable exception at present is a "free" poker site and a "free" blackjack site....please note.......no real money changes hands....just faux game money)

(I tend to post sometimes several times a day.....rather then start a new post.....I just edit the existing post and tack on to it....I generally post for the last time during the day between 20:00 UTC-5 & 21:30 UTC-5)

Glossary of Terms Spades

A game: made up of several hands, collect 500 points and you win....you can also win regardless of you're score if your opponents score -200 points or more

Bags: if you as a team take more tricks then you bid, you get 1 bag for each trick over, collect 10 and you lose 100 points

Bid: before a hand is played, based on the cards you hold, now many tricks you can win

Hand: players play one card each high card in suit takes the hand unless a trump is played and then high trump wins the hand, 13 tricks per hand

Lay of the cards: how the cards are dealt on any given hand

Nil Bid: a bid of nil......your intent to not take a trick in a hand, +100 points if you succeed, -100 points if you take even 1 trick

Over bid hand: there are 13 tricks per hand.....if the bids total 14 or more....one team will go back...maybe both

Set: a team failures to make their bid, their lose 10 points for each bid example team total bid was 7, team took 6 or less tricks....you lose 70 points.....also referred to as "going in the hole" or "going back"

Suits: Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts

Trick: one round of play in a hand

Trump: in Spades, the spades are always trump, beats everything except a higher trump, can only be played if you don't have the suit lead..must be played if trump is lead.....trump can't be lead until a player trumps in....

Trumping In: playing a trump on a trick when you are out of that suit....but it's the players choice...unless trump is lead...

We/They: as in any partners card game one of the possible names for the 2 teams....I've seen "us" & "them".....and a few others i can't mention here

Glossary of Terms Solitaire

Auto-play: when the next series of moves is obvious, the game may automatically do them.{aka: auto-fill}....

Foundation: where you're trying to more the cards to.....move them all and you win

DECK: from which cards are turned over one at a time

Relaxed: a change in the rules from the standard game to make it play easier..varies from game to game..

Re-Set/Undo: both Just Solitaire and World of Solitaire games have both a re-set and an undo option....re-set takes the game back to the start....undo will remove one move at a time....both can be useful to try other options....

Tableau: where the cards to be moved start the hand
