*[07:32 UTC-4]*[Today's Live Game Results]*<[Facebook]>..Poker:[04:37]:..a bit of a late start this morning..picked up the awaiting drop(w/ad.) for "44K house money" and off to other online tasks to run time off the "drop clock"..:[05:49]:..five tables played..as/usual all were of the 1K/.5K binds variety..and as/always risked the max-buy-in of 125K [on the rare occasions that I venture to any table but a 1K'.5K blinds I still always risk the max-buy-in..I hate playing "short stacked"]..play varied from just a few hands "heads up" and although the majority of the hands as/usual were three at the table..there were a few more hands than/usual of four players & a few were 5 or 6 handed..except for a true kamikaze all the other usual suspects attended..any-two-carders..a tournament style player..myriad pocket singleton Ace/any pair/any paint bettors..several bouts of "My pair's bigger than Yours' is"..most were won with a board pair and a kicker..and on twp different tables..the same "Table Captain" [aka:school yard bully] who tended to if another player raised after the river..would re-raise the player enough to put them all-in..bluff/semi-bluff..??..as an aside I have a love/hate reaction to the player regardless of why has to raise the minimum pre-flop on almost every hand..now if I'm getting good looks and hitting flops I love them..if not I hate them..today I hated them except for a couple of hands..but a bit of advice to those who do..if you raise the min-pre-flop..and then check the turn 90% of the time it tells me you missed the flop..hit or miss you really need to make a continuation bet after the river..otherwise the times you do..you probably hit the flop..just my 2 cents..../....first table..an any-two-card..1 wasn't catching but twice out of the ten hands played on that table..just a pair and a high 2-pair..but another reason I love an any-two-carder..both small pots with a table of 4 or 5 and you can get the 10K+ mission which I did..and then "The Reaper"..second table..the domain of the aforementioned "Table Captain"..was getting decent looks in the pocket but except for twice wasn't hitting the flop..finally made a set..[TC took this hand off]..player to my right raised 5K..saw the 3 to a straight on the board..but was willing to make the call..any higher I would have folded..yup..he had the straight..and that was the only "big hit" my stack took during the session..did make a full boat and a small pot before "The Reaper" got me..11 hands played..third table..again a brief appearance of the "TC"..won 3 pots out of the 13 hands played..once with a nut flush..and was marginally up on this table..again "The Reaper"..4th table..14 hands..3 pots..twice with 2-pair & a full boat..up marginally here as well.."The Reaper"..fifth table..wasn't catching squat..and watch many rounds of "My pairs bigger...."..only win out of the 14 hands played was a small pot with a pair..and then you know who carried me off to the lobby..ergo..:{stats}: 48 minutes played..115 minutes off the "drop clock"..62 hands played..10 pots..1 for every 6.2 hands played..left 30,550$ on the tables..picked up 1,600$ from five goes at slots..[just picked up a cycle of drops/bonuses from all three live games]....Video Poker Live: pretty typical run for the 2x modifier..10 hands@50K coins/hand..twice a pair..once 2-pair & one set..down 150'K coins..but just before that I hit the "Jackpot" wheel for 250K coins..[the "Jackpot" wheel always seems to appear on my first trip after 11:00 UTC-4..[15:00 GMT].."Current Bank" stands@79,670'M coins....[11:23 UTC-4]....Day's End Poker: Total Bank: 683.3'M / Net Gain Today: 543'K / Drops[6]&Roulette[2]: 572'K / Tables[5]&Slots[5]: -28,950$ / Hands Played Today: 62 / Total Hands Played: 62,996 / [[notes]: 6 drops@44K & 2 roulette spins: 1@110 & 1@198K]....[19:52 UTC-4]....

Glossary of Terms Spades

A game: made up of several hands, collect 500 points and you win....you can also win regardless of you're score if your opponents score -200 points or more

Bags: if you as a team take more tricks then you bid, you get 1 bag for each trick over, collect 10 and you lose 100 points

Bid: before a hand is played, based on the cards you hold, now many tricks you can win

Hand: players play one card each high card in suit takes the hand unless a trump is played and then high trump wins the hand, 13 tricks per hand

Lay of the cards: how the cards are dealt on any given hand

Nil Bid: a bid of nil......your intent to not take a trick in a hand, +100 points if you succeed, -100 points if you take even 1 trick

Over bid hand: there are 13 tricks per hand.....if the bids total 14 or more....one team will go back...maybe both

Set: a team failures to make their bid, their lose 10 points for each bid example team total bid was 7, team took 6 or less tricks....you lose 70 points.....also referred to as "going in the hole" or "going back"

Suits: Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts

Trick: one round of play in a hand

Trump: in Spades, the spades are always trump, beats everything except a higher trump, can only be played if you don't have the suit lead..must be played if trump is lead.....trump can't be lead until a player trumps in....

Trumping In: playing a trump on a trick when you are out of that suit....but it's the players choice...unless trump is lead...

We/They: as in any partners card game one of the possible names for the 2 teams....I've seen "us" & "them".....and a few others i can't mention here

Glossary of Terms Solitaire

Auto-play: when the next series of moves is obvious, the game may automatically do them.{aka: auto-fill}....

Foundation: where you're trying to more the cards to.....move them all and you win

DECK: from which cards are turned over one at a time

Relaxed: a change in the rules from the standard game to make it play easier..varies from game to game..

Re-Set/Undo: both Just Solitaire and World of Solitaire games have both a re-set and an undo option....re-set takes the game back to the start....undo will remove one move at a time....both can be useful to try other options....

Tableau: where the cards to be moved start the hand
