Poker:[04:07]..picked up the awaiting drop(w/ad.) for "44K house money"..[the/usual side-trips to run time off the "drop clock"]..:[04:57]:...four tables played..all four exits by the hand of the "Grim Reaper"..all for as is my custom were of the 1K/.5K variety..[just feel more comfortable at that level]..and as/always plunked down my 125K-max-buy--in..1st/3rd/4th tables..I don't know whether to describe the play on these three as "my worst nightmare" or as an old "Looney Tunes" cartoon..I half expected to see Bugs or Yosemite Sam come to the table..pot pushing..any-two-carding..but more than the usual min-raises..pre-flop raises up to and including all-ins on pocket singleton Ace/any pair/any paint..and a couple of times I have no idea why..several..bouts of "My pair's bigger than Yours' is"..the classic one was one that happened pre-flop..ending in both players all-in..and the pot was won on a high card...[just shakes his old grey head]..of the 36 hands played on these three I made 1 pot..a split-pot high card pot..oy vey..did I get a few decent looks in the pocket..yup..but most went in the muck because of pre-flop shenanigans..and the few hands I got as far as the flop I either..missed it..got a small piece..got a "draw"..but the post-flop raise was more than I was willing to risk..but played ultra tight..and avoid any significant damage..play was between "heads up" and briefly a 6 handed game..2nd table..except for a "nest" of any-two-carders/continuation bettors..it was a reasonably sane table..almost all bets/raises were of the 1K or 2K variety..and I was getting good enough looks to call the bump..1st hand "out of the gate" pocket Ace..paired on the flop..held up and won the pot and my 10K+ mission as well..and three more..on a pair..a straight & triple Ladies..[which reminds me only briefly saw only a couple of the "Ladies of Poker" this morning]..after this table claimed both 16 hands & 10K+ missions..after the fourth table checked my stats..50 hands played..and surprisingly only down marginally..so decided enough was indeed enough..ergo..:{stats}:..35 minutes played..88 minutes off the "drop clock"..50 hands played..5 pots..1 out of every 10 hands played..[2nd table 4 out of 14 hands played..1 out of every 3.5 hands played]..left 2,750$ on the tables..[no slots]..
